Hello! A few questions here. A little background first. I completed my first year of nursing school at TAMU-CC in 2001-2002. I then moved overseas (husband in the Navy) where there was no nursing program. I ended up finishing a BS in Business Admin there. I am now trying to get into the TAMU-CC eline program since my husband is out of the Navy and we are settled in Houston. All of my prerequisites were done 9+ years ago. I am retaking Pharm this fall. They say everything else is OK. My GPA in sciences is not that great, just above a 3.0. They are also calculating my nursing courses with my last 60 hours (which is what they use for admissions) and I have a couple of C's in there since nursing school is harder than normal classes. They are also using my business courses that I have a GPA of 3.5 in. So, my cumm GPA is just above a 3.0 also. Grrr! I also just failed the a&p section of the HESI! I did well in all of the other sections.
Does anyone know how difficult it is to get into this program? Do I even have a chance? Anyone in this program now? Should I retake the HESI? Thanks a bunch!
