I don't trust medical institutes. Like the previous poster mentioned, you might be able to receive a questionable ASN degree.
If you do want to become a NP than you would better off attending a university and aiming for your BSN strait off the bat. I have 4 kids and I feel this route wastes the least amount of time and your education would appear more reputable.

Please help! I am a single mother of three and desperately looking for a good nursing program. I got a degree in medical assisting at city college and unbeknownst to me none of my credits transfer to any school. I also have a BA from Saint leo university which all credits can transfer so I will never make that mistake again. Anyway I found Tampa medical institute and their Schedule totally works for me. I want to eventually become a nurse practitioner. Are there any nurse practitioners that went to this school for their bsn or asn? What school did you get your masters from? Which school will accept Tampa medical institute credits. Also how was your experience at this school.
Thanks everyone for your comments!
