Hey there! Just looking for anyone else that applied for TCC's nursing program for Fall 2018. Patiently awaiting the acceptance emails to go out in a few weeks and thought I'd post because I know I'm not the only one dying to know!

Hi cgp1118,
144 isn't a bad score, and you're 9th on the list? hmm, I think the best thing to do is to call him ('cos I did) and he'll tell you the breakdown of your score.
I was initially placed on the alternate list, but there was an error in my case.
But it has been fixed and i'm in. I scored 149.

I called the Ghazvini Center about this (because it's a little cheaper for me to do it at Southeastern, lol) and they said it should be fine as long as it's the American Heart Association course.
From prior experience with BLS certification, yes it is good for 2 years, you might just have to take it during nursing school again if yours expires before you finish.
Also, congrats to all of you who got in! See you at orientation :)
Has anyone been able to get the flu shot? I've tried calling Publix, Target, Walgreens, Walmart and CVS but they don't seem to have it until August.

Health Department maybe?
I was told to forward this message to everyone:
There is a 2 p.m. cut off each day for paying for BLS and also TMH badges.
In other words Ghazvini cannot take payments past 2 p.m.
Thanks. -Ken Tellis
Oh and if anyone of you hasn't gotten the flu shot yet, don't worry about it. :)
Mr. Tellis told me that flu shots will be available in probably late September, and the faculty knows about this.

Wakulla health department still has some(past flu season)but I talked to Mr. Tellis and he said alot of students wait until August/September to get the flu shot so it will be current flu season. Hope this helps!! I just asked you join the FB page.
