So I am going to be taking the TEAS exam early next month. I have a 4.0 in prereqs but they were all completed over three years ago. I did not have to take the TEAS before for schools that I applied to and was accepted but could not attend but the test is required by the schools that I am applying to next fall. I have a limited budget and limited time. What is the best approach for studying for the TEAS test? Do you even need to study for the TEAS when you have great grades or does my three year break mean I forgot most of the information? Also I have heard the science section is the hardest but I have also taken courses in physics, ecology and geology before I knew I wanted to major in nursing. Do the science questions delve into those topics or is it mostly bio and chemistry?
Thanks!

It would be extremely beneficial for you to study for the TEAs. I have a 4.0 GPA in the required sciences and I still had a tough time with the stupid science portion. If you can get the ATI study guide and the 2 practice tests with it as well as the McGraw Hill book (I heard this is very helpful when it comes to preparing yourself for science portion). Those are the only items you will really need to get.
I took most of my science pre-reqs farther back (~5 years ago) than you and I was still able to remember most of it through review. I studied for about a month on and off for about 4 hours a day. I didn't do super hot, but I didn't bomb it. You know yourself best, you'll figure out how much time you need to study. Good luck to you!
