I am straight out of high school and have been prepping for the TEAS for the last two weeks. I bought both the ATI Manual and McGraw Hill's 5 Practice Tests. I bought ONE online practice exam and did not do well at all. But, I have done better on the book tests (ATI and McGraw). I am so nervous about the TEAS. I just want to get it done and over with so I can enjoy the rest of my summer before I begin college.
Any tips to prep for the science? This section truly worries me. I have no idea how in depth the questions will be. Is the actual test easier than the book and online like everyone says it is? I've basically focused on Bio and Chem and just the basic anatomy in the manual....is that good or bad? I've never taken a Human Anatomy class (I will this fall).
Thank you.
P.S. Don't give me a hard time on not taking Anatomy because I'm taking the test regardless. I already paid the fifty bucks.

I just took the TEAS yesterday. The science portion of my test had a lot of questions regarding cell structure, cell differentiation, genetics, chemistry (periodic table, how elements bond), cell respiration and photosynthesis, basic anatomy regarding the different organ systems, scientific reasoning, one or two questions on density and one on evaporation.
Hope that helps!
Thank you so much! :)

Can anyone recommend some prep books on the TEAS V? Thank you ahead of time.
Atleast get the ATI from what I've read on the various threads on this site. I bought the manual from Amazon, since it was a little bit cheaper and free shipping. I take the TEAS test on the 18th. I'm so nervous.

Make sure that you focus on areas where you know you will do well. You can do poorly in science and still rock the test by doing well in math and English/grammar etc. I'm not saying don't study science (it was the hardest for me) but I got near perfect scores in the others which made up for my poor science score and manged to get an 86.
I take my exam tomorrow morning! Wish me luck. I might post my results afterwords.

Same here, it was my English scores which set me over the top. My Math and Science scores weren't so great! I got in the program anyway, so good luck!
@kh2013...Good luck! What school are you trying to get into? I have applied for a bridge program with Darton College in Sandersville, GA. I made an 80%. Hope that is good enough to get in. The test will give you a program mean and a national mean. The program mean for my school is 64.9% and 64.3% national.
Keep us updated : )

I take the TEAS on July 23, I have been studying the TEAS study manual by API, I am almost finished with it but I have a question, the practice questions in the manual have the answers in the reading right above, it seems really weird that everyone says the Science is so hard and in what I am studying the answers are on the same page in the paragraph above it...? anyone please let me know you thoughts and experience as far as this... thanks so much
Have you taken the actual practice tests at the end of the book? Those do not have answers posted on the same page. They do have practice questions under each study section in the book. Those are just to help you comprehend what you are reading. What helped for me was to do as many actual practice tests as I could. ATI website also has two tests you can buy for about 40 dollars each and you can take them twice. I would recommend those.
