During this summer I realized that I have a very strong interest in nursing however I am enrolled in a college that does not offer a Nursing Program. I am currently at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. It is going to be my second year as a Biological Science major student and I would ideally want a bachelors degree in nursing from a california state university or uc. Do you think I am at a disadvantage taking classes from my school than at a community college that does have a nursing program? Do you think it is worth it to transfer to another csu because I cannot transfer now as a lower division transfer student. Also, I am afraid that I won't be able to transfer to another csu because my overall college GPA is a 2.3 from taking difficult science and math classes.
I wondered if anyone has gone through a similar experience and how you dealt with it. Any advice would be appreciated!

Why can't you just apply to another CSU as a freshman? If you have less than the "transfer" number of units, I think that you can apply as a freshman. You will eventually have to transfer to a school that offers a nursing program, unless you go to a entry level master's nursing program. Maybe I'm not understanding your question properly. If you don't get any more replies, please restate your question. (-:
