Any nursing department courses will likely not transfer over (especially if you are speaking to transferring courses taken at a community college to a university). The only university I can think of is Samuel Merritt, which wants you to take Pharm and Pathophysiology and will provide a list of approved courses/community colleges, but that is the only BSN program I've seen thus far that does this.
So no, other than your core pre-reqs, taking nurses courses ahead of time can only benefit you in terms of getting a head start on the academic content. As always, its best to verify this yourself with programs you intend to apply to.

most nursing programs start before i get out of school (im on the quarter system)...thus, after i graduate could i go to a community college that offers nursing courses and take some coursework there? and during this time also apply to nursing school? soooo, when i am accepted to nursing school will i be exempt from those classes that i took at the community college?
just a thought. okay thanks so much! --ginillel
