Hi everyone,
I am getting ready for the hot seat on 8/29...I've felt like I did all the best I can to study for it...And today, i just feel relaxed...STRANGE! but the threads i've been reading on this site has helped me try to calm down and not panic...This site has been really helpful in clarifying all the myths that I had been hearing...Also, i spoke with my classmates who had taken the NCLEX RN and passed...some with 75 q's, others at 262 and 265...Im trying to do some self talk--that if they can do it, maybe I can also do it...I did my part... I had been doing the Kaplan Q trainers repeatedly and also the Qbank repeatedly....and also the NCSBN learning extension. I just try to answer some more questions as much as i can...review lab values..and review some highlights and strategies which will really help me on the test day...Also I always say a little prayer every night....I dont know if this feeling is right but I am confident that I will do good because I did my part in preparing for it....there's not much more I can do....I dont want to put it off or anything like that. I will never know until I take that exam, right? i will
need to take it anyway sooner or later....I dont if what I'm feeling is right???I know this is not normal....any inputs???

Been there, done that....
Sounds like you have your head in the right place. A good friend gave me some great advise before I took my NCLEX... Close your eyes, take a deep breath, and say to yourself, "I will own this test and make it my own!". Then, upon getting through the sign in hastle and computer tutorial, when the first question comes up, close your eyes, take another deep breath, and relax enough for the knowledge in your head to come out and answer the questions. You will succeed. Good luck

I am taking the NCLEX Wednesday 8/30 at 8 am. I am feeling very similar to you. I just got to Starbucks for my final 2 hours of studying. I took a Kaplan review course, and spent tons and tons of hours doing the QBank and QTrainer questions. 2 days ago I put it all away and relaxed. The plan now is 80 more questions - one practice of 50 in Kaplan Q Bank that I haven't done already and a review of the 30 priority/delegation questions from Kaplan. (I did the 30 questions test already and did well on it, but from what I hear, everyone has these questions - so I just want to be sure. After these next 2 hours - I plan on looking at nothing until right before I walk in there, I am going to review the lab values so I can write them on the dry erase board right away. My point is, I don't know if our confidence is right or not, but at least we both know we aren't alone. Good luck!
All the best on wednesday.

You'll do fine. I walked in ...no studying at all after school..had to wait 2 months before could get test date...passed in 75 q's...... you can do it....your schooling is supposed to prepare you for the test. If you've been practicing that much I can't see why you wouldn't do just fine if I can walk in and pass w/out cracking a book....outside of my school...trust me you will do fine! Go for it!!!
Wow I guest some people are just bless with that gift
I'm in the hot seat tomorrow - I have been thinking of you in it today marieinla. I hope it went well!!
