Changes are you will not be able to take the NCLEX in California. I would cross that bridge before worrying about the NCLEX

You probably won't be able to get your license in ca bro. Hit up the international forums. There are huge hurdles.

Here you go in a quick review of what's happening: click... https://allnurses.com/international-nursing/end-phillipine-nursing-885162.html
It doesn't matter if you're a US citizen or dual or from PH or a lot of other international grad or nurse, it pertains to many if one received their BSN (some even with Master's) from a country out of the USA.
You will find and read that the above has also affected those coming in from the UK, India, Russia, many from the European community, some Latin American countries, etc as evident by those that did get to take their deficiency course or courses in CA. These courses are very competitive and difficult to enroll in and many just have 1-2 students per country. Class size range from 6-30, average it seems is 12, some cost not too much if one can find a community college up to $14,000 for 1-2 courses.
Just know that since Nov. 2011, only a handful of PH degree holders have received the ATT in CA, including that graduated in 2013 under the "new" curriculum and has gone back to those from 2005 if they are either applying for the first time or re-applying because of previous failed NCLEX attempts or whatever.
The last count I saw was about over 5,000 from PH alone with many scrambling into other states to get licensed and just know to endorse back into CA is no longer an option as that back door has been closed. There have been a few posters who have tried that graduated in 2005, some with many years of US RN experience, some that had job offers back in CA (but unable to meet certain requirements such as copies of their clinical cases or the dreaded concurrency).
While you may certainly try and hope that you do get passed the stricter enforcement of the policies set forth since 1987, any and all fees submitted to the CA BRN is not refundable as so clearly stated in the application form, it doesn't matter if the application is approved or declined. Once the package is opened, it's in the process level.
You'll find many of your questions on why, why, why can be answered in this particular section of the Nurse Registration. Good luck!

To get back to your questions, you may want to look at the NCLEX forum here to get more answers, you might want to post there as well, but just know the questions have been asked many times before in regards to the study plans.

Give it a try. Dont be discouraged. Some grads dont have a choice.. If your (five maj/min/corddressactualassist) clinical cases and (medsurg ob) theory are finished within the same time frame and you have all of the requirements, give it a try. Some international grads from the USA have an SSN and of course may know people in the nursing fields for a career opportunity... Becoming an LVN in CA or applying for the nclex rn in another state with cgfns ces would be another opportunity. It is a case by case basis. Keep going... No excuses. As for review, try to get a good review course it will only increase your chances of passing the exam, or go to the library. And finally update readers on your experience... This will only help others in their journey, Thanks!
