Published

It will be my 3rd time to take the nclex rn exam and its killing me just thinkin about it... i wanna be as relaxed and calm as possible but it seems like i can't focus on my review this past few days... months before, i used to answer 150-200 questions a day but now that i only have a few days left i know im supposed to answer more questions but i cnt seem to do it... im scared.. and im so nervous!:heartbeat... i really really wanna pass this test... and i can't wait to learn new things... and be an effective nurse :nurse:. This is what im ought to do so help me pls dear GOD.

GOODLUCK TO ALL THOSE WHO ARE TAKING THIS OCTOBER! GOD BLESS US!

Thank you!.... you have to stay positive otherwise it's just going to eat you alive. And I've come to learn that sometimes you can't change what has happened in the past you can only change the future (forget about what has happened because you can't change it, you can only change what is to come). The first time I let the exam fail eat me up & was praying I passed the second time, when I failed again I thought it was the end for me. But I have this wonderful lady I work with that is going through a lot of stuff in her personal life and because of that she turns to God & is a strong believer. She helped pull me out of my rut & to look at the positive things & refocus. If we go in having a positive attitude & truly feel we can kick butt this go around, We WILL PASS! Have a very Happy Thanksgiving!... ttys:)

oh holy crap.... i have just over a week left until my exam. I finished 12 chapters out of the 20 so far in Exam Cram... i am trying my best to push myself to finish the last 8 chapters between tomorrow & sunday... wish me luck because i get distracted easily LOL/ anything is more fun than studying LOL. The EC Review Book also contains 2 full practice exams, which would be nice to complete this weekend, but it all seems very overwhelming with the amount that needs to get done. I guess I should do 4 review chapters & one exam sat. & then do the other 4 chapters & review exam sunday (my new plan for the weekend... oh so much fun). I also purchased the Exam Cram just questions & answers book which is 5 full complete exams (265?s an exam), which if i finish the EC review book this weekend than i can do one exam a day mon-fri next week & then sat/sun look over last minute weak stuff & just relax & stay focused. How are your studies going? Hopefully your staying on tract. Are you scheduled for December as well?

the first time i took the exam i was extremely nervous, but felt i could do it. I ended up with 107 questions, after the first 75 i was like ok cool this must be ending soon, but it didn't. I also didn't take any breaks the first time because I kept thinking it must be over soon. For test 1, I did the Kaplan online program, but was unable to finish everything on the program. So on round two I figured I need to be more relaxed and studied more. I ended up going back to the Kaplan online program because I paid for it & didn't finish it fully, so I continued with that & did more review questions in prep for exam 2. On exam 2 I took a break after 50 questions or so to refocus & stretch and then again after like 3hrs. Exam 2 I ended up with 264 questions & was there for the complete 6hrs. It was horrible, I kind of figure perhaps I failed round 2 because I was getting impatient & rushed through the end of the test because you have the countdown of the time & i was nearing the max questions & just wanted out. I would recommend taking your time, it doesn't matter if you timeout or if you get the max questions. It grades you on whatever you take, so rushing to get through all the questions does nothing to help you, it probably makes it worse for you. I'm scheduled to take it a third time in December. In prep for test 3, I'm using Exam Cram & Priority, Delegation & Assignment by LaCharity. I feel the Exam Cram is what I was really looking for the first 2 times around to help me, because it gives you a quick review in 20chapters of content, and the CD gives you review questions, but is designed to give you more questions in your weak areas so I'm really hoping this new study approach/ program will do it this time. GOOD LUCK!

whaoo, my Story iS juSt like urS, going d third round in dec....mennn, not a eaSy journey that i thought it waS going to be after i graduated thiS May...the 1St time 75 unSucceSSful, 2nd 265 in 5hr 59minS waS drained and tired, unSucceSSful....Godddddd, am praying to God every min to anSwer my prayerS..i need to paSS...i Study everyday, and my man alwayS tell me to Study more, GuSh,,i alwayS tell him he cant underStand....God pleaSe hear our praying...alway having nightmereS becauze of thiS RN boardS, i feel u guyz menn, we in d Same Situation.

This is a little late.....but congratulations! I am very happy for you. Enjoy your career.

yea this journey is a hard one to take, but it will all pay off once we receive the PASS notice & get our license. I just pray that I pass this time around (I too graduated in May), I want to pass so bad & be done with studying. I don't know what it is (probably sounds corny), but I actually feel differently this time around. I don't know I just feel more confident this time & more prepared & I'm getting a lot more review questions correct & I'm studying some quick review content in the Exam Cram Review book, it just seems that this is what I actually needed. A review book that gives quick review without putting you to sleep & review questions that give you rationales that you can understand. I didn't feel like this the first two times around, but I feel I actually have confidences this time & can see my self as an RN without being scared, like i know more now & am definitely more confident. I think this new review material is just what I needed. People always say each person is different in their study needs, I think I found exactly what I needed/ looking for, so hopefully this is it & I can move on to bigger better things. GOOD LUCK w/ your studies!

Posted by Matthew St.%20Joseph%20Cupertino.jpgThis powerful prayer is very effective in examinations. It has to be said before appearing in the examination. There are two variants to this prayer. Both the prayers are equally effective. You can choose any one of these:-

First Prayer

O Great St. Joseph of Cupertino who while on earth did obtain from God the grace to be asked at your examination only the questions you knew, obtain for me a like favour in the examinations for which I am now preparing. In return I promise to make you known and cause you to be invoked.

Through Christ our Lord.

St. Joseph of Cupertino, Pray for us.

Amen.

Second Prayer

O St. Joseph of Cupertino who by your prayer obtained from God to be asked at your examination, the only preposition you knew. Grant that I may like you succeed in the (here mention the name of Examination eg. History paper I ) examination.

In return I promise to make you known and cause you to be invoked.

O St. Joseph of Cupertino pray for me

O Holy Ghost enlighten me

Our Lady of Good Studies pray for me

Sacred Head of Jesus, Seat of divine wisdom, enlighten me.

Remember, when you succeed in the exams then you should thank St. Joseph of Cupertino.

I Hope this Prayer will be helpful!! Just know we can all do it!!

thanks for sharing your prayer :)

ok so i officially have 18 out of the 20 chapters completed from the Exam Cram Review book... trying to motivate myself to get 1 out of the 7 practice exams completed tonight (if not completed at least 100 questions)... i shall finish the other chapters tomorrow & be done with reviewing content & just focusing on more questions.... 7 days to go!:bugeyes::uhoh21::smilecoffeecup:

so i didn't complete the practice exam... only got 50 questions done b/c i'm tired.... but i did complete the longest chapter earlier today which too me 2hrs for the one chapter & another 1hr for the 18th chapter.... that is some success with my studying (another step closer to being done with my study material).... it would be so much easier if i didn't have work... i shall catch up on things i didn't/couldn't complete due to lack of time in the day from mon-wed on thurs-sat when i have off.
