Taking my NCLEX PN Exam in 1 week!

Published

Specializes in Cardiac & Medical ICU.

What should I look over for right now?

I took the Kaplan course & I took the readiness test which gave me a 75% and told me that most of my weakness is in Health Promotion & Maintenance.

I still need to keep studying drugs & lab values.

I know there have been alot of SATA questions as well lately.

Anybody who has recently taken the test, advice will be very appreciated!

Thanks :)

I took it today. No official word if I passed yet but I did the pearson vue trick and got the good pop-up.

Just wanted to wish you luck! No advice for ya 'cause you seem really prepared.

Let us know how it goes.

I just took the nclex for LVN for the 2nd time on Monday, I got the good pop up thank god! One of my BIGGEST downfalls the first time was all about "safety precautions", knowing what went with what as far as droplet & airborne precautions. I got several questions on my first test and was clueless on which disease went with which one. So make sure you study that. I actually got a great amount of information from this site. Someone had posted a really neat way to remember it, I printed it out and studied that a lot. Don't waste to much time on drugs. The first time I had all 205 questions and was only asked about maybe 4 drugs, this time 85 questions and 2 drugs. Know your math, I had 3 dosage calculation questions but they were set up really easy, where lbs and kgs were even. I had a TON of satas! I found that if a statement is borderline check it. Before I was way to conservative in checking them and would often get them wrong. Good luck!
