Taking NCLEx again, I thought only once?

Published

Ok I was told that you could only take the NCLEX once if you fail you have to take the course again. but I see alot of people on here that say they are taking it again in 45 days?

P.s My ignorance shows Im not in school yet but have been studying a NCLEX book for awhile now. PLEASE someone clarify how many times you can take it,or is it different per state?? I had the notion you went through school and if you didnt pass the NCLEX you had another year of school to look foward too!

All depends on the state BON. Some can resit after 45 days others have to wait 90 days, some states require if fail 3 times that you take a refresher course whereas others don't, all varies

I live in Denver, Colorado and I know here you have to wait 45 days to take it again. I heard but I am not too sure about this one; that if you don't pass your 7th time that you have to take a few refresher courses. I have never heard before that you have another year of school to look forward to but that's just in this state though. Go to stateboardsofnursing.com type in your state first and see what the regulations are in your state.
