Taking a CNA course.. Need Advice

Published

My wife and I are currently taking a CNA course this semester. We are wondering whether or not we should take our Chem 1 class or drop it and wait until next semester.

It would put us behind a semester, but also I'm nervous that the CNA workload might be too much.

We can either take the Chem 1 class now or drop it and take two online classes that have nothing to do with out major. The reason why we need the two extra classes is so we can have enough units for financial aid.

Really need advice on the smart decision.

Our goal is to become an RN and get our BSN, but were taking the CNA course as experience

I took CNA in the summer along with Micro and A&P. That was crazy. CNA classes are generally easy though. I had a lot of anxiety about passing the clinical test still, but the written exam is very easy.

If you don't need the CNA though, I'd rather take prereqs or requisite classes like Chem and other ones than get behind..you'll get CNA skills in your nursing classes.

I would continue and keep the chem course. You never know if you can do it until you try

CNA courses are cake. I knew nothing whatsoever about healthcare when I took it over 13 years ago... It was incredibly easy.
