I am seriously thinking about taking Anatomy & P II, and Pharmacology together, but i was wondering would that be to much. I am attending a community college which incorporates the A&P II and Pharmacology in their nursing program. I do have the option of taking these classes before I get into the program.
Any suggestions or words of advise? :uhoh21:

Hi! I guess it depends on what else you have going on in your life right now and how difficult your professors are. I am currently enrolled in A&P II, Microbiology and Pathophysiology and feel that I bit off a bit too much this semester. I have two very difficult professors and am constantly studying, and basically driving my husband up the wall by being so stressed out. And forget having any fun time - lately if I do one load of laundry a week it's a miracle!
If those are the only two classes you are taking it should be very doable, but be careful not to do what I've done or you'll have an awfully long semester!

I'd suggest taking pharmacology when you get closer to clinicals or start taking clinicals. It's a lot easier to remember all those drugs when you're applying them in a clinical situation.

My heart goes out to you, because I cant imagine having anything else added to those two classes I mentioned. Don't you just hate when you end up with those professor's that make matters worse. Just keep hanging in there and you will get through it. Here is a link to a web site that should be able to help you. If you are seeking any career in the medical field you will find help here. it's called Quiz central. There are tons of games, quizzes, flashcards and etc. http://www.medtrng.net/quiz1.htm
Thank you for the advise, and good luck.
Thank you so much for the website! Every additional resource helps! Good luck with your decision about your classes!

It's very doable. Would it be a regular or accelerated semester? Right now I have Micro, A&PII, and Pharm. So far I'm holding at an A in all of my classes (we'll see during these last couple of weeks..lol), but I prefer to have a full class load.
I'd say go for it, but too many factors can determine the outcome. Have you checked out your possible professors from previous students or www.ratemyprofessor.com ? What will your load be like outside of school? Sometimes my A&P and Pharm coincide in the teachings because we may learn how drugs affect certain systems that we happen to be learning about in A&P at the same time. My pharm class is not that hard though, as it is just basic drug info that I knew about before I started the class. Granted, I have learned a few things in the class, but although I shouldn't admit this, I haven't studied for this class because A&P, and Micro are my priority classes. Fortunately, for this class, I haven't needed to study and I am maintaining an A.
I would just say, if you have the time to put in for each class, go for it! I am a bad example with the study habits and your class may have a different curriculum than mine, also, your instructor may require you to regurgitate a lot more info than mine. 2 classes in a regular semester, even when they are harder, they are doable. I had a semi-easy and hard class in an accelerated summer semester and did well in both, so like everyone says...it's all about what's important to you and what you can handle...only you can answer that!
Sorry it's so long...
