You can try Madigan. I know they hire new grads. Franciscan Health System does as well, but you have to get into a residency. There is Good Samaritan or Multicare Health System. Western State takes new grads, but it's a mental hospital.

Good luck and welcome to WA! (when you arrive, lol)

Ty, madigan is the hospital on ft Lewis correct?

Yes. In the surrouding area, you have St Claire, St Francis (federal way). St Joseph, Tacoma General, Good Samaritan, St Anthony (gig harbor). Mary Bridge Childrens hospital.

Madigan is a great hospital, but the application process is long and extremely detailed. I currently work at A multicare multicare is a great company and they hire a lot of new grads. As a new grad (few years ago) I applied over 100 times to all the Franciscan hospitals and not a single reply. I applied to once to multicare and got a call back. Plus multicare is computer charting while the Franciscan hospitals Still use paper charts (sometimes that's an incentive).. There is also a providence hospital in Olympia..

Ty for the informations, does multi are have a residency program? And do u remember how they titles them on their hiring site?

FHS is going epic this year. Just an FYI.

That's great! But then you still have to deal an entire hospital system learning epic vs one that already uses it. But it's whosever preference!

Another question: do the hospitals prefer BSN over ADN up there? I want to go back for BSN but my school u r required to be employed for the clinical portion

Very true, but I wanted the OP to know that FHS is going to EPIC and not staying paper, that's all I'm saying. I think they should know the update. Never hurts does it?

Op, I know of new grads working for multicare with ADN. FHS has no preference. That I can speak for. Of course they all say BSN preferred on most apps, but like I said, both hire new grad ADN.

OP, another thought that might help you decide if you have a few choices. Check to see if there is tuition reimbursement for school if you want to go back! I bet multi-care does, but I cannot say for sure. FHS offers 3000 a year for education.
