I'm headed to Syracuse for an assignment. After looking online at the reviews of the accommodation I'm now super nervous. Multiple bad reviews. Anybody know where to live in Syracuse with a commute to Upstate Medical. Any experiences with apt communities would be greatly appreciated.
NedRN 1 Article; 5,766 Posts Aug 23, 2013 Most people motivated enough to post an online review of housing had a negative experience. Such reviews are very unreliable. I would suggest finding a privately owned rental on Craigslist, second look at a property manager. Consider a housing shared situation. Those come furnished, often even the bedroom, and utilities already on. And you will save the most money from your housing stipend. I've done this a lot in the last 17 years with great luck, and some fabulous housing that I could not have had at any price. Several times it has been technically shared, but me alone in a big house. Once with 7 bathrooms!
