SYRACUSE NY HOUSING

I'm headed to Syracuse for an assignment. After looking online at the reviews of the accommodation I'm now super nervous. Multiple bad reviews. Anybody know where to live in Syracuse with a commute to Upstate Medical. Any experiences with apt communities would be greatly appreciated.

Most people motivated enough to post an online review of housing had a negative experience. Such reviews are very unreliable. I would suggest finding a privately owned rental on Craigslist, second look at a property manager. Consider a housing shared situation. Those come furnished, often even the bedroom, and utilities already on. And you will save the most money from your housing stipend. I've done this a lot in the last 17 years with great luck, and some fabulous housing that I could not have had at any price. Several times it has been technically shared, but me alone in a big house. Once with 7 bathrooms!
