Swedish Residency Jan 2014

I just applied for the Swedish Jan 2014 residency. Wondering if folks here also applied and whether you have heard back, or if you know the timeline for that.

I tried emailing the Swedish Residency email several times in the past few months to find out about the Meet/Greet but never heard back. Did anyone manage to attend? Or is this a secretive gathering for some selected few?

Please share your experiences and journeys!!

Whaleluver, I live in Bellevue. I think I might take the bus since I heard parking is really expensive there. Lynnwood is such a far and expensive drive! I wish we lived closer so we can get a carpool pass....

NewNurse17, I am at the First Hill campus. Congrats to you! Which unit/campus are you going to be at?

I am also at first hill on nephro. What about you NewNurse17? What unit/campus? I am becoming accustomed to the buses because I am from SD. I'm not used to the traffic and realize that others are such bad drivers, hence I try not to drive :)

When they said they email everything, I forgot to ask if we send everything back via email or print it out. I only wonder because I'm going to SoDak for three weeks and won't be back until jan 8. Also, does anyone know what the dress code/ uniform is and how we go about obtaining it?

Hey there LiftFitnHealthyRN and Whaleluver33 congrats to the both of you! I will be on the Cherry Hill Campus... is that different from First Hill? And I will be on the CVICU unit for the residency :D I don't know anything about the dress code either, I'm curious though.

I think cherry hill is a few blocks down the street but still the same general neighborhood

As far as scrubs, on the Nephrology unit, any color scrubs are acceptable. Shoes must be closed toe. Anyone know if Swedish security will walk people out to the buses. I will be taking the metro and commuter buses.

Mine says withdrawn for some reason...but I did receive the offer letter and background check via email...what did yours say NewNurse?

Mine says withdrawn also but I handed in my signed offer letter last night.
