I just interviewed at Sutter and forgot to ask about parking. Anyone on this message board work at Sutter General? Is it free? If not how much do you pay?
Many thanks!

I don't work at Sutter General but I do work at the Fort Sutter Medical Building, which is connected to the hospital. Our parking is $60 per month. I'm not sure if the hospital employees have to pay for their own parking or if it is a covered benefit...wish I could be more help.

I believe it's $20/pay period, which = $40/mo. If you carpool at least 60% of the time the parking fee is waived.
Thanks for the info- I should have asked during the interview, but my head was full of so much, I didn't think to at the time!

Would you mind sharing how u got an interview there? I can never get in contact w/the nurse recruiter. They told me they are not hiring new grads. Is this true?
Plumpsters-
I have been applying for any job that had an IP associated with it since March. I FINALLY got an interview. I never contacted the recruiter at this hospital. Still no details on if I got the job or not.
Good luck- keep your chin up!

I finally got in contact with a nurse recruiter last week and she told me they will have a few new grad positions in the new rehab facility that is scheduled to open in November, but said there will be nothing before that time. I'm running into the same problem with most area recruiters--no call backs and no response from my applications. It's really getting frustrating!

Hi, I just finished a rotation at Sutter, and I was told that parking is $60/month and waived if you carpool with at least one other person 3 times a week. And you'll need to carpool, since the employee lots are so packed (and use block-in parking), and the local residential area is residential permit only (and they ticket/tow quickly).
As for recruiting, my rotation met with a Sutter recruiter on our last clinical day, and was told that Sutter in the Sacto area is transitioning several departments to new(and newer) facilities like Roseville. Older facilities (Memorial/General) are in an HR holding pattern until they know who is staying and who is going.
