  1. I dont have to put myself in anyone's shoes. The reason no one should complain about HESI is that there should be standards to meet. Yes, NCLEX is one standard, but there really should be more (ie entrance/progress/exit exams). I'm for promoting the nursing profession. I want the smartest and brightest nurses to be my colleagues. I believe every school should have some sort of diagnostic test in order to graduate/enter. It's the same reasoning why I am 100% against community colleges offering waitlisting rather than grades to enter nursing school (or even if its based on grades, generally the bar is set quite low). If you are a good student, you should be able to pass. End of story.
  2. no one should make remarks about wherever you go--thats just rude. But i do think entry level needs to be changed, at the very least, to bachelor prepared nurses. Hopefully this will be the future of nursing.
  3. i had 20 sata and 75 questions and passed. i really believe they do give us partial credit and are not telling us bc there is no way i could have gotten them right. im sure the board doesn't reveal everything to us about the test--just like how they do not reveal the pass/fail grading procedures.
  4. keep the faith!!! u haven't received ur results yet, so still try to be positive!!!!
  5. 75 Q, 20 SATA, 1 math, 1 identify the picture..........PASSED and very grateful!!! I know I couldnt have gotten all those SATA questions right. I sincerely believe they do give partial credit, but just dont tell us. I even missed extremely simple questions--which bugged me all day as I waited for my results. I maybe only had 2 delegations, and a lot of signs/symptoms which i was also freaking out bc i thought s/s were low end questions. I was sooo worried that i didnt get more delegation question. Good luck to everyone whos taking it soon!!!
  6. acccckkkk!!! omg i passed!! I found out about 7am pst. I didnt finish my test until 4pm on 8/11. I dont know if that makes a difference in cut off time for last night's update? Good luck to u and ur gf!
  7. melinurse-u had 15multiple choice, so that leaves u with 60 SATA ?!?!?!?!? OMG. OMG. OMG. Great job!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  8. i actually think the reverse. i spent a lot of time doing questions that i lost track of reading/reviewing content. when i took the exam, even the simplest things like assessing apical pulse drew a blank from me. i know now i got it wrong. i got so many easy questions wrong. kicking myself now that i didnt review over content...
  9. i took it on the same day as u. still waiting. california didn't even update last nite!!!! ::goes crazy::
  10. i dont believe UAP can do trach or ulcer care. Leave those for LVNs. Im not sure if phantom limb ever goes away (im sure some do, and some dont). I remember watching something on phantom limb pain years ago, and some ppl still experience it several years after the initial injury.
  11. im so sorry that u scored high on the kaplan qtrainer but failed the nclex!! how did u do on the previous 2 times then? reviewing stuff is the best i think.
  12. Are u only allowed to take the take until after ur fingerprints are cleared? For example, they will not issue u an ATT unless ur fingerprints are cleared? I've always had issues w/my fingerprints not showing up correctly and such, that i almost always had to get refingered. I have not heared anything from the BON yet regarding my fingerprints, so im assuming it went thru alright? I already got my ATT weeks ago. I just hope the fingerprints wont hold up my results when i take the test this monday!
  13. im a new grad having a hard time finding a job in the bay/san jose area. wondering if anyone has any job leads? thanks!
  14. Would you mind sharing how u got an interview there? I can never get in contact w/the nurse recruiter. They told me they are not hiring new grads. Is this true?
