Surgery in monitoring

What does one do if surgery is needed during monitoring? The anesthesia etc.

So I didn't have surgery but I had a raging kidney infection that they almost admitted me for. Thankfully they let me go home with the caveat that's I'd come back if things worsened. Anyways prior to discharge the doctor gave me 5mg of oxy. I sent in the discharge paperwork and proof to my case manager and it was uploaded into the app. I had no issues at all with it. And if I remember correctly, I tested like 1.5-2 weeks after so there were no issues there either. I didn't have any "return to work" guidelines but I'm assuming a one time dose isn't a huge deal to them. And I had like 5 days off following that anyways.
