Love the "Mindset Stuff" -- so true, and so often overlooked.

There's plenty here you may never need, honestly. It's smart to wait and see once you have your syllabus, rather than waste a bunch of money on stuff you end up not needing. Nursing school is expensive enough as it is! :)

In my clinical rotations you could NOT bring a bag. The instructor held our keys and we were permitted only what we could carry in our pockets. No clip boards per facility rules either.
BP cuffs were optional for practice & lab but not permitted at clinical sites since they weren't calibrated & validated by biomedical engineering. The only student owned equipment allowed were stethoscopes but if you inadvertently brought your scope into certain isolation rooms, congrats you just donated it to the facility and it would be incinerated with the other disposable equipment. Be mindful of your environment)
Study tools are personal. I take notes a specific way and hate index cards. You likely are very different.
As far as reference books, again hold off as your instructors likely have specific recommendations or required supplemental texts such as for drug references, care plans, and nursing diagnosis.
I understand the excitement of preparing but there is no use in spending money on items not needed. Perhaps your school will release a list of supplies. Mine did at orientation a few months before the program started and again the first day of school. They also supplied certain items.
