Nurses General Nursing

Wondering what everyone thinks about this. I recently graduated from Georgetown NHS and started working in the DC area. The other day some people from this startup:

bienhealthcare.com

were at the hospital talking to us. They said that full malpractice will be in place before we see patients, and that it'll only be simple cases. As a recent graduate with lots of debt does this seem like a safe way to try to earn money on my off days? Wondering what everyone thinks...reluctant but was curious

Wait... Is this an ad?

I'm actually wondering if other nurses think it might work. It's that or pickup up a shift

This is a concept at this point. They haven't even built the system.

So, if the company actually makes it, provides a good service, markets it well, and compensates employees fairly, they will be good to work for.

That's a whole lot of ifs.

"Patients will open the Bien app and be able to Request Care” within seconds. Based upon the patient's needs and location, Bien will then provide an estimate of the nurse's arrival time. Accessing quality primary care is literally as easy as pushing a button!"

Do you think this will sell?

This sounds like the obnoxious Call My Nurse app that was discussed here recently. This is a bad idea. Stay away.

This is nothing like that app,

This allows the pt to request a service for which they pay.

And the nurse gets paid for each visit.

I am not saying it is a good idea to work for them.
