FutureCNMkay 25 Posts Nov 1, 2017 I applied to Niagara University, I'm alumni there so hopefully that counts for something if I don't get accepted into UB. I didn't recieve an acceptance to the school itself yet, one of my transcripts got lost so I had to hand deliver a second one last week. Weird that they accept you to the school but not the program yet. I guess I don't really understand the point of that haha
rvesse815 14 Posts Nov 2, 2017 I almost applied there! And yeah, being an alumni should definitely count for something. Right? I thought it was weird too. But I guess we'll know for sure by mid-December. Less than 2 months away now!
FutureCNMkay 25 Posts Nov 2, 2017 So nerve wrecking! How is pharmacology going? I'm about to apply and register for it at Cayuga. Can I ask how much the course cost you? From what I read it was like $1200??
FutureCNMkay 25 Posts Nov 2, 2017 Actually I just called and I have to get a certificate of residence form sent in. Much better than $1,200!
rvesse815 14 Posts Nov 5, 2017 I actually took it as a summer course, but I'm going to retake it because I didn't get the grade I wanted. The class I took was an expedited 4-week course, and I recommend taking it as a full semester course if you're also working full time like I was. With the certificate of residence it's $561 (but they add on a $20 wellness fee, $77 technology fee, $70 online course fee, and $70 activity fee so it comes out to be around $798)--but it's still a little cheaper than ECC. The professor requires an SGA (this 100 page booklet) to be completed. It takes forever to complete. There is only one exam in the entire class worth 50% of your grade, but the SGA prepares you for it. The professor's fair, but the class requires a lot of work that isn't done online (due to the SGA). The SGA has to be printed (this can be done in Staples for about $20). Is that the only class you have left?
FutureCNMkay 25 Posts Nov 5, 2017 I spoke with ECC and you can't take their pharm class unless you're in their nursing program. I have pharm and chemistry left to take. I'll be taking them both in the spring.

FutureCNMkay 25 Posts Nov 21, 2017 I registered and have to pay out of pocket at Cayuga community college, it's an online course.
meeeks 12 Posts Dec 1, 2017 I got waitlisted! Kind of not disappointed though because I applied just because I could, with little hope of getting in and they said they only offer the waitlist to 25-35 people. I have still have pharmacology, patho, and physio to take but I have lots of experience and well written essays. May I ask what your grades in your pre-reqs looked like?
FutureCNMkay 25 Posts Dec 2, 2017 I still have to take pharm and chemistry, I'm not sure of my actual gpa for the prerequisites but probably around 3.7. A's and B's.
Beckz520 5 Posts Dec 3, 2017 I just found out I got in too! I'm so excited but also extremely nervous. I'm a stay at home mom to three little kids so this will be a challenge for sure.
