Starting this forum for those applying to Suffolk community college for fall 2023. Feel free to send encouraging words, share TEAS scores, and any information from the admissions department. The deadline to apply was January 15, 2023.
I scored 82 on my TEAS with a total rubric score of 81. I am still nervous, last year the admissions office told me they only looked at those who scored advanced on TEAS which is an 80.

Are you sure you did the rubric right it was alot of adding up because you would have got in with that rubric. What did you score on TEAS ?
LITexan said:Hey y'all! I applied for the fall, too. Only place I've applied for this year; we just moved here and getting the prereqs for the other programs and paying out of state tuition is just too much right now.
To share my stats, I got a 98 overall on the TEAS and I estimate I have an 80 on my rubric. I'm missing a few classes, but hope what I have is enough to get in.
Fingers crossed for all of us!
With a TEAS score like that you definitely should get in ?

I got a 96 overall I believe. My rubric should have been 85 or 86, but they give priority first to Suffolk county residents. Not a big deal though, I still got accepted to another SUNY school upstate. Good luck everyone!

Nothing official yet! But I did hear second hand that there would be a mandatory orientation in May.
I did pull up the nursing student handbooks to get an idea of what we'd need to do. I know there are some vaccination and CPR requirements that need to be met before classes start, so I'm hoping to get that all taken care of asap.

I am doing the LPN program, but did they say if that will include the instructions on how to submit our health forms and background check?

Congratulations! May I ask how many is your grade on TEAS and Rubric? I was rejected, and I want to set a grade target for my next application.

Thanks! I honestly never added up my rubric but I got an 80 on my TEAS. When I applied in 2021, I had a 78 and didn't get in. I have almost all pre-reqs done except for 2 classes I believe. My grades were As, Bs and 1 C in statistics. I am a suffolk resident. Didn't get into Nassau this year.

Such a high grade on TEAS! Did you get the acceptance letter?
