2017 SUNY Downstate Accelerated BSN

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hi all,

I know it's early in the process, but thought this could be a thread going forward for people who know they will be applying to the SUNY Downstate Accelerated BSN program for summer 2017.

I only have one pre-req left, Chemistry, which I'm going to try and take online at BMCC this fall. I was also going to try and take a BMCC Pharmacology class, but saw on another thread that it might not be transferable. If anyone has thoughts on these classes, or has taken the TEAS yet, I'd love to hear from you!

Does your application checklist show that you accepted? I accepted immediately but it isn't showing on my checklist...

I accepted right away as well but I had to email them a PDF of the acceptance form online and that's when they checked it off.

Does anyone know when we actually start orientation or classes? I know they haven't sent out the updated academic calendar yet, but I need to plan for my job and stuff.

Hi! I got my acceptance letter as well, however, I still have one semester of school left until I graduate (I am graduating this Spring 2017). I read somewhere that the nursing classes start at the end of May, and I am afraid that I won't get my grades on time. I was just wondering if any of you are in the same situation or can advise me in any way? Thanks

I am still waiting for a decision. It is getting discouraging and nerve-racking because I submitted my application in mid August. It's been half a year. I hope my 2 missing prereqs have not caused too much harm...

Hey,

Have you taken the test yet? I am also applying but I am confused do we have to take TEAS V or TEAS VI?
