SUNY Downstate Accelerated BSN Program 2014-2015

Hey Everyone!

I figured I should start a new thread for the upcoming round of decisions. How are you all feeling? What are your backgrounds? Have you applied to other schools? My application is in the review progress, so my fingers are crossed and hopes are high!

I feel like they may be waiting for the responses from the first rounds before they send out more. Possibly? Unless others have been accepted since then.

I'm still waiting. I thought for sure I would get a wait list or rejection letter quickly since my status changed to that return to admissions app complete thing 3 weeks ago. I'm thinking they sent out their first round and are waiting to see how many people confirm their acceptances before figuring out to do. But who knows. We might have to wait a while.

I just talked to admissions, they said they were sending out my notification today and I should receive it by next week. I submitted my application in September, but because downstate lost some of the docs it wasn't determined complete until the beginning of December.

@Nursing87 Did they say they were sending out yours specifically or that they're sending out another round of notifications?

They just said mine, I just assumed it was another round.

How did you get them to tell you about yours specifically? Did you guys call and give your names? I just called to ask and she said they couldn't say specifically how long for anyone. They said it is on a rolling basis and it could be as late as Mid-May.

I got my rejection letter today in the mail. Kind of sucks but also glad to finally get and answer. Good luck to you all!

I'm sorry to hear that, but now at least you know either way. I haven't received anything yet, has anyone else heard anything?

I am keeping an eye out for the mail this week. Since rejection letters have gone out. I assume that acceptances will be by email so any mail from them should contain a waitlist notification or rejection. Losing hope at this point.

I just resorted to stalking the mailman and nothing. Last monday I talked to the associate director of admissions and he said that not all acceptances had gone out and that they would no longer be utilizing email. But who knows with these people.

Seems like they have different answers for everyone. No response here yet either.
