Simply Complicated

I applied to the RN to BSN program through Suny Delhi. I'm just wondering if anyone knows how competitive it is to be accepted? She said that they would be letting people know after October 1st. I'm hoping I get in, just not sure if it is easy to be accepted, or if people are usually wait listed due to multiple applications?

Online program? I attended briefly and it was not competitive at all to get in.
You only attended briefly? What happened, did you not like it? All the reviews I've read people seem to love it. Thanks for the response. That makes me feel better, I am really hoping to get in for January.
There were just a few little things that combined together to make it not worth it to me at the time. One example was when I was starting my second class and there was a group assignment due the very first morning that the class was open. I had logged on the Thursday before to preview the class and there was no assignment. I didn't get back on until Monday that class started and saw that the assignment was due 30 minutes before. Two people in my assigned group logged on on Saturday and did the assignment and turned it in. The instructor sent a reply asking why all the people in our group (me and another girl) did not participate (it was pretty nasty the way she worded it, too). Well...it was the FIRST day of class. When I called the school about it, they were really nice and said that it would not count against me, that the instructor should not have done that, etc, etc.
They also kept messing up my tuition bill over and over and over again. I spent A LOT of time on the phone trying to get my bill straight. First, I would have a credit, then a balance, then another credit, then my tuition was double billed, and then a credit, etc. I had to call for corrections SEVEN times with only 3 classes. Then about 3 months after I dropped, I got yet another bill from them.
I am not saying they are a bad program. I attended when things were just starting up and I don't think all the kinks were worked out yet. Hopefully some of the issues I had have been resolved now. Good luck! They were a cheaper option over what I ended up going with. :)

I got my BSN thorugh this program and thought it was great. I never had any of the issues that are posted above. I also started when the program first got up and running. I do know that there is a but of a wait to get in due to many people starting, but the wait wasnt that long. A couple of my firends just started and had to wait a semester, but got admitted. I found that the program was very comprehensive. I am well into grad school now and was over prepared honestly.

Yikes, that sucks. I would guess they have probably really got things straightened out now. I've heard the teachers are great. Sounds like you got a bad one there. How do you make an assignment due before class even started:rolleyes:
Thank you. I really hope I don't have to wait to start. Even if it is just one semester. I have a pell grant that I don't want to loose anything from it. I already screwed up last year and didn't get things done in time and lost it. I'm just ready to get moving, haha. I know the first half of the first term is just the intro to the program class. We will be moving out of state in the spring, so I would like to be settled into school when we move, rather than trying to start school and a new job all at once. Guess I have to wait and see.

My mom attends this program. She's been going there for about a year now. She was accepted without a wait. She loves it. She's very happy. She only takes 2 classes a semester, 1 at a time, as they are 7 weeks long. I'm very proud of her for getting her BSN.

Hi!! I know I am a little late, but I am VERY interested in SUNY delhi for bsn. I've heard some great things, but I have a question for any of you that know people in the program--
I've heard there is 4 sessions with clinicals that the student needs to set up. Just wondering, do you know if there are any affiliations with hospitals/agencies outside of the Delhi area? I live down in Orange County, NY so Delhi would be too far for me to travel for these clinicals...
thanks for any input :)
