Did anyone apply to this program? My B.S. in exercise physiology is from Brockport in which I received around a 3.3 GPA. I know that last year (summer 2013 cohort) was their first year offering the program. I spoke with a lady from the department who works with admissions and she said that last year they only had 40 something applicants?? Did anyone on here go through the program, and how did you like it? I also plan to apply to other colleges in the Rochester area for fall 2014. Keeping my fingers crossed, any input from you all would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

are you going to attend? i'm considering the traditional program in the fall?
I am! Orientation is on the 5th and classes start May 19th. Anyone else plan on going to Brockport??
i;ll be at orientation on the 5th too! do you live in the area and can tell me some stuff about it
I live in Rochester, so it'll be about a half hour drive to school. My first bachelors was from Brockport so I am pretty familiar with the campus. There is a very helpful campus map on the website if you're not sure where to go.

Hi FredWurlitzer!
I came across this posting and was hoping if you seen this you could let me know how Brockports accelerated program is going? I applied there for the Summer 15 cohort, I wont find out if I'm accepted till Dec. Since the program is fairly new I am struggling to find any info on it I also applied to the University of Rochester & was accepted (YAY, Excited about that) but Brockport is a fraction of the price & I graduated from Brockport w/ my 1st bachelors degree.
Do you like the program? Any feedback on the professors & if you feel you are well prepared in learning the material / clinicals / boards? How is the schedule? Is there any clinicals at Strong hospital? That is where I would prefer to do clinicals since I want to work there after I'm a RN (I plan on getting my NP after & Strong has tuition reimbursement).... ANY info you have would be GREAT and so helpful.
Thanks!
My stats are:
Bachelors from Brockport - GPA 3.0
Masters in Mental Health Counseling - GPA 3.85
Excellent letter of recommendation
I believe my essay was well written
All A's in the science pre-reqs
I hope they accept me, but I know they have a limited # of spots. I'm hoping that Masters GPA sticks out more than the Bachelors degree GPA! That 1st semester as an undergrad was awful & brought my GPA down for the remainder of my time as an undergrad. Anyway, if you see this & can reply I'd appreciate it. You might be too busy studying though haha! Good luck!
