Stars I've noticed dogs doing a lot of sniffing but usually not as much looking

NJ22 that does sound like nice weather to work outside

Ado that's a quick read, typically I take weeks to get through a book

Didn't do bird watching yesterday due to rain. However I did get other things done, like cleaning, shopping list for next week, and doing the cooking for the week (although that just consisted of making a large salad).  Had lunch with dad, stopped briefly at the farmer's market, exercised, and did some meal prep

Was emailing with my cousin, she was thinking about changing the date of our October Milwaukee trip as there is an event she wants to do the Saturday we get back.  Thankfully I checked my work schedule and, with the exception of the last Mon/Tues that month I wouldn't be able to change the date.  After having changed it once already did not want to have to change it again

Since I missed bird watching yesterday I'll do it today before church, thankfully the service is now back to 10am. Then I'll return home and go to church.  I'll only be home briefly before spending a few hours at church helping set up and take down for the music event.  Having a gospel singer.  My dad may attend, we'll see

Will be cooler than initially predicted, low 80s, no more rain expected

G'mornin'~for 20 more minutes. I woke up at 8 AM and fed Tinker and took my AM pills. At some point after I went back to sleep, I thought I heard voices downstairs and briefly thought, "Nannie doesn't know how to turn on the TV." Then, I still heard the voices and decided that maybe SiL and/or BiL had come over. Had a brief dream that SiL had come and got Nannie up and dressed, and maybe took her off for the day. Sadly when I finally woke up and came downstairs, nothing had been touched or done toward Nannie's day. I was disappointed, but that is a frequent feeling when dealing with all this, so, what else is new?

I'm having coffee and Tinker went upstairs and got her bacon-flavored chew-bone (Nyla-bone), so we are sitting here quietly, and hoping for a while longer of Nannielessness. I heard Nannie cough.....I hope that doesn't mean she is awake. My horror-scope said something about 'a family elder' giving me a hard time today. Hahahahahahahaha! Surely that would NEVER happen here!

I have just a few dishes to wash, and I forgot to strip my bed yesterday so maybe I will do that today, because I just L-O-V-E doing more laundry. Since I haven't got Nannie up yet I am not sure if she has laundry to be done. Just call me Cinderella. Where are my glass slippers and giant pumpkin-coach? I don't feel much like even thinking of putting on a ball-gown, though, or dancing; and I can't even imagine who any Prince Charming might be. (In Boston it would be Prince 'CHAH-MIN'). ........."Some day my 'prints' will come?"...... I also think of something from my youth where we would chant, "Finger-prints, hand-prints, foot-prints," then whistling and calling out: "Here Prince!" Oh yeah we were a funny bunch.

Still have take Tinker out and have her drag me around in the 82 degree and sunny back yard. My right hip isn't looking forward to that, but maybe it will get loosened up with the activity. Yup, Tinker is more of a 'looker' than a sniffer. She is the very definition of a "WATCH" dog. She watches the back yard, but her tummy is on 'watch'-duty, too...... 'cause she knows what time it is, meal-wise.

Guess I will scroll around to see what's new in the world this morning, and then harness up my mush-dog to get yanked through our yard.

Later......

SiL called to 'remind me' it is Nannie's 96th birthday today. I know, but 'age means nothing' to Nannie, and I mean LITERALLY. SiL said the "real" birthday celebration for her will take place at the daycare center on Wednesday. After it is over, she won't remember, but I guess it makes others happy to throw her a little party.

So we were invited to go over to SiL and BiL's house for supper tonight. I really don't care to go, but I can't deny Nannie the option to "GO" somewhere/anywhere just because I am feeling asocial and depressed. The invitation was for me to bring her over there, not for one of them to come over here and pick her up, Oh well. I can be civil and friendly-ish for a while, it won't kill me. At least I won't have to prepare any food or wash any dishes, because SiL will cook and they have a dishwasher. Hurrah.

So I don't reckon I feel much like stripping my bed and washing the sheets now. Maybe tomorrow after Nannie is hauled off to daycare.

Tinker was very excited because on this morning's "yank" around the periphery of the back yard, she flushed out two deer from the underbrush. She stood on her back legs for a good bit of time, watching them run off and wishing she could give chase

I got nuthin' else, so here I will stop posting,

No excitement here (thank goodness?). An interesting group spoke at church today. They provide support for people getting out of prison. Then we sang hymns at the nursing home this afternoon.

I baked peanut butter cookies from store-bought dough. And I have overindulged.

Joe, the book was a juvenile fiction selection so was not very long.

Oh, I forgot to answer dianah's question. I am an old flute player. Twin B plays trumpet.

G'day!

Had an okay day at work.  They were able to float us a nurse so I didn't have to go 6:1 and be in charge.  Just two patients.  Not a lot of drama.

Have a great evening.
