Good morning!
Joe, sounds like you're making the best of your weekend.
Thanks for listening to me yesterday.
The past few years I've had an annual debate about the covid vaccine and flu vaccine. The last few years I've just decided to get both, but I'm still in the debate phase,
It's a bit cooler in the mid 80s here and cloudy. May rain later. Summer should be coming to an end in the next week or two. Just hope no hurricanes this year. I really don't think my nerves can handle it.
I suggested to best friend to hire a mover to get his stuff from my house to the condo and he never thought of it since we brought it over in several trips but thinks it's a great idea. He certainly can afford it and he lives on the 3rd floor. They are coming Thursday but not sure when his official move out date is. He said he'd stay if I need him too but I really don't. After a year I think neither of us want to part as it's nice having someone around rather than being alone. But life should go on. He has a brand new condo to settle into. It will be his first time in many decades not having a cat around.
Welp, here's my theory come to life again, I said yesterday (last night) that I wasn't going to come on-line today because I was going to do the things needing to be done, yet here I am. I slept so poorly last night and I got up at 7 AM to take my medicine. Then I finally fell asleep, and SOUNDLY, waking up again at 1 PM. Nannie was already up, sleeping in her chair. After I got dressed and hobbled down to the kitchen, I got her into her clothes and gave her "breakfast" and then I took Tinker out to be hauled around the yard. SHE hauled ME, that is. She kept dashing back and forth thinking she saw or heard something, and I was yanked to and fro with my hips complaining the whole time. I cut our walk short and we came back inside. Now I am resting these poor ol' hips for a few minutes before I start on SOMETHING; as all of it is calling my name! At least the dishes and Nannie's laundry needs to be taken care of. Jiminy Cricket, It is almost 2 PM! So much for good intentions.
Hope you all have had a good weekend.
Tweety, hiring movers is a great idea, especially with that 3rd floor bit. I'm sure it will feel odd at first but it will be good to have your own space.
I used the CPAP for the first time last night. I made it 6 hours and it was OK but I did wake up once feeling like my throat was dry and sore. Hubs says I was not snoring. Then this afternoon I have been sneezing and my nose is runny. Throat is scratchy. Hmmm... because of the CPAP? A cold? The new little allergen, I mean kitten?
Daughter-in-law continues to do well.

Hi Dianah
Was planning to go to the Arboretum yesterday but it was closed for an event. Went to a forest preserve but it was crowded due to what appeared to be a Boy Scout jamboree. So headed home instead and ran some errands, then had lunch with dad. Rest of the day was quieter. Watched Call the Midwife, exercised, worked on my shopping list, and did some preparation for cooking today
Today before church will do the cooking for the week. Will go to church early to serve as assisting minister. After church will need to get and mail a birthday card for my sister, as it's this week and I nearly forgot. Was planning to visit with my friend this afternoon but haven't gotten a response yet to my text. We'll see, I know he sometimes has to cancel events due to social anxiety and is dealing with a lot with his move and knee surgery
Going to be another warmer day here, in the mid 80s. Thankfully it will finally cool down by Tuesday
