Ado I've heard of LARP although I have not done it myself

Stars it is good that you are laying out the truth for your dh, despite the fact that he remains in denial.  Hopefully one day he will start listening

Tweety I'm surprised they discharged him to the floor in that condition

Was too cold yesterday morning to ride, so instead I went bird watching.  As it was in the 30s it was still quite cold. Forgot to go to the last day of the farmers market, wanted to get some more jam.  Will have to wait until next year. Made soup, adjusted the recipe a bit, hopefully it'll still turn out good

Had lunch with dad, he's worn out from all of the paperwork associated with the  move.  Hopefully he will be done with all that soon

Decided to try making a White Russian yesterday, after seeing in featured in the Big Lebowski.  Liked the  Kahlua but did not like the vodka in it. Watched the Svengoolie  movie a bit yesterday, but got bored and turned it off

Today have to get to church early as I'm assisting this morning.  Then meeting J for a musical in the afternoon, don't  remember which one.  His allergies are better and thankfully he only has mild itching from the shingles.  Odd, as he's had the shingles vax

Will be in the mid 50s again today

Oh, Joe! White Russians! The idea even now after many, many years makes me feel ill. I got sooo sick on White Russians when I was in college; sweating and puking...it was horrible and lasted long enough for me to swear off White Russians forEVER!

So, speaking of alcohol....

Hubby said to me this afternoon, "I have to talk with you," and I said "Uh-oh." He said, "No, it's not bad...." But it was bad enough. He said he is going to arrive at the doc's office tomorrow AM, in person, (he has an appt Thursday)  and say he has to see SOMEBODY NOW, and he is NOT going to the emergency room. He thought they could do a direct admission or something....he said, "I have GOT to go to rehab. I can't keep this up any more." He indicated that his left side hurts at the ribcage area (I'm thinking 'pancreas') and he thinks it came from when he fell between the table and kitchen wall. When I saw him on the floor, he had, I thought he had fallen on his right side, but anyway....he said he didn't sleep at all last night. (He did sleep some because I could hear him snoring.) He said he's been in pain for at least a whole year and he can't take it any more, and he's GOT TO get off the booze. He doesn't want to call the doc's office today because whoever is on call would tell him to go to the ER.

I didn't want to say that it may not happen the way he wants it to; I had mentioned to him a while back about what Tweety said about going to rehab and how that all works. But, we'll just have to see what happens when he goes to the doc's office. I will likely have to drive him there, I guess.

He is out in his 'office' because the car seat fits around his upper torso and it feels better. He said he hates to 'dump' everything on me, but he has to do something to get better. I agree, he has to do what he has to do.....as long as this time, he DOES it.

So, "that's the name of that tune", as Baretta used to say.

Braves are out of the running now. The Phillies took them for a ride and they lost. Oh well. It was fun while it lasted.

Over and out for now...........

I wish it would just work out that way for Mr. Stars. Strike while the iron is hot and all that.

Too bad about the Braves. My brother and his wife are enthused about the Astros so I guess they're doing well.

I was too lazy/unmotivated to get to church today so the fam got to eat the corn casserole I made. And the pumpkin dip with ginger snaps. I feel bad. We were hosting a group that does some kind of prison ministry. I can watch the recording of the service.

Best wishes to Mr. NoStars. Is sounds like he trying to control the situation in anyway he can. Unfortunately, I think all of us here know that “healthcare on demand” is not really a thing these days. The problems didn’t start instantly, and they won’t be fixed instantly. Anyway, fingers crossed that everyone is safe.
