Tweety I've wondered about some of the people I knew in high school and in college, and wonder what happened to them.  But haven't been motivated enough to to follow up

Stars that's cool that your brother is an author who's book has helped people

Dianah glad you slept better last night

NJ22 glad the appointment went well and that he doesn't need a heart cath

Went outside yesterday for a hike, was surprised that my legs weren't too sore after yesterday

Spent some time cleaning and spraying yesterday, having some fly issues.  Have a neighbor who's not a good housekeeper and the likely cause.  Talked to the landlord who's going to lean on him to clean up.  Seems to have made a difference, fewer of them today than yesterday.  And I got the chance to clear out some stuff

In the afternoon met dad, sister and family, and my sister's best friend and her father for dinner at an Indian restaurant.  Had a paneer curry, which was pretty good.  Afterwards we went to my nephew's acapella group performance, which was great as usual.  Glad he has found a group that can be an outlet for his artistic side

Today should be ordinary, have to usher at church and do the cooking later.  Will exercise as well

Will be a bit warmer today, up to the low 50s

Good morning!

Joe, hope the fly issue revolves.

I see tiny ants here and there.  I need to spray in the yard.  I had the bug guy come in and he put up some bait and it seems to have helped some.  It's only a minor problem but when I drop a crum or even dog food I see them.  I don't see them in the bathroom since the last time I put some bait out.

I think I overshare here as I sometimes feel this is my journal.

When best friend lived here that year he liked to watch House Hunters.  I liked it okay but would get aggravated as it became clear, at least to me, they deliberately would show houses that didn't meet the criteria of the buyers.  Such as it was too far from where they wanted to live, or too expensive, or something they didn't want like not enough bedrooms.  I would scream "what kind of agent are you showing inappropriate houses?".  (not really scream).  But it seems that made the show more interesting.

Best friends new freezer is broken but the refrigerator part works.  He's bummed because he did his first major fill up since moving back.  He brought the contents here where I happened to have room.  He told me to make some chicken that had thawed and shouldn't be refrozen.  It's always something.

The play yesterday was good.  It was called "Death Trap" which is apparently an old play.  The acting was good and the set was really good.  It's obvious they have a generous budget.  Guess it's a good thing my bonus check was deposited Friday.  Sheesh (Best friend paid half of it although I asked him not to.)

We went to see the annual sand castle competition at one of the beaches and there were some pretty good sculptures.  While there I got a parking ticket for parking within 30 feet of a stop sign.  I had no idea that was a thing and I was behind someone who parked closer.  It was $80 which is ridiculous.  They rip people off with their outrageous parking fees of $12 an hour and then fees.  Disgusting.

To follow up, I haven't heard from my old best friend from high school and college.  Maybe the email I have is wrong.  I'll let it go.  Since he doesn't have a home or a car registered, our theory is he might have retired to Mexico since his husband was Mexican.  Maybe one day he'll think about me and write me.

That is cool about your brother's book, Stars.

J22, you make sense about the heart cath. And, then, if the treadmill goes well... no change in plans, right?

Sometime in the last 15 years or so I was trying to find an old friend I'd lost touch with after high school. I did finally find an obituary; she'd had some kind of cancer in her early 50s. She had one child who predeceased her. I was interested to learn she had become a quilter.

It's a beautiful fall day. There was fog this morning but now the sun is bright and the sky is blue and it is about 60 degrees. But apparently supposed to rain this evening. We went to church then I went to the store. Got most of what we'll need for Thanksgiving and some things for the food drive. The church's monthly service at a local nursing home was this afternoon so I went. It's only 2-3 blocks away so I walked.

No sharing today; I'm going to make a statement, and y'all will guess the person responsible for it, correctly.

I am in an exceptionally FOUL mood.

Maybe things will be better tomorrow.
