Tweety that is the difficult part about the Spring forward, either try to go to bed early or decide to lose an hour of sleep

Dianah my dad is doing pretty good, considering he is 86

Stars I can see how you would miss having someone to talk to

NJ22 I hope the lights stay on

Hi Ado

Was able to get out bird watching yesterday, saw an eastern bluebird, so I think that means Spring is here.  Baked the chocolate chip muffins and had lunch with dad.  Rest of the day was quieter, did some cleaning and watched some more of Griselda on Netflix.  Skipped Svengoolie as I'd seen that particular movie many times.  Remembered to set the clocks ahead

Decided I'm going to try and see the Chicago Symphony in the coming season, have identified shows in October and next Feb which may be of interest to me.

Felt a bit down last night but feel good this morning despite the time change.  Decided to go to bed early and did manage to get to sleep in a reasonable amount of time.  Have to be usher and reader at church today, then do some grocery shopping and do the cooking for the week.  Also need to work on dates for visiting my aunt, and a tentative date for my cousin and I to visit Milwaukee again if she is able to go

Going to be a somewhat cold day in the upper 40s, but will be warmer the rest of the week

Hello all!

Chicago Symphony sounds good, Joe!  As do chocolate chip muffins!

Tweety, hope your shift is smooth and you get off on time, to off-set DST curse!

The memorial service was sad, but nice.  Saw a lot of ppl I worked with some 25 years ago!

Had a quiet afternoon after lunch.  Last night I watched an old movie, 1957's Silk Stockings, with Fred Astaire and Cyd Charisse.  It was OK.  Today I will do some laundry and nap, since I didn't sleep well for whatever reason.

Have a good day!

So, yeah, I had turned the clocks back one hour, then woke up in the middle of the night, realized what I'd done wrong, and turned the clocks ahead one hour, but I shoulda realized then that all I was doing was resetting the time back to what it was, since I'd set them all back in the first place. Then when I got up just now I had to recheck myself, and realized I still had not set the clocks correctly. d'Oh! So, I think we are at the right place and time now. I had lost an hour of BRAIN as well as time! I hope I haven't 'caught' Nannie's mental status! Is there a vaccine for that? 🙄

So, I have to finish my coffee and get dressed and then get Nannie up. I will prolly come back by here laydah.

Just got a call from SiL; she is planning on coming over tomorrow noon-ish and will take Nannie home with her for the afternoon. She will also bring some supper to me (chili and beans) when she brings Nannie home. YAY! And Bil said he will come over in the afternoon, and we can destroy the stairs to the useless deck. YAY! Bring on the sledge-hammers!

Still windy here, but we have not lost power. Temp 47, so not warm, not cold.  I've taken the dogs for a long walk, and finally, started to prune roses. The garden waste tote is full, although I could probably smash it down, but I'm calling it a day. And I scooped a large quantity of dog waste (not frozen to the ground, thank goodness).

I'm going to watch an episode from a documentary series on Netflix called The Surgeons Cut. dh has promised to make dinner. No I have no idea what he's planning. Tomorrow we're going to talk to the financial people. Now that the house is paid off and we did our little house renovation, I want to cut down on how much we are drawing, but have them withhold a higher percentage for taxes.

I will likely watch the Oscars. I've seen a few of the best picture nominees--Oppenheimer, Killers of the Flower Moon, The Holdovers, part of Maestro. I also saw Nyad and am rooting for Annette Bening, and Jodie Foster.
