88 degrees with a 'feels like' of 96 degrees, 75% chance of rain, but so far we are still in the 25% not getting any rain (yet?)
BiL and SiL are home from the beach. SiL said she sat with the dog on her lap for the whole drive back (BiL driving) and that her 'lap-bones' are tired! 😉 And it's just a young little shihtzu. I guess it sits heavy!
Nannie is irritable. So what else is new? She keeps talking about the baseball game I turned on (so she would have something to turn her attention to.)...but she keeps making remarks that are , um, way-off-base, as in, with total misunderstanding about ANYTHING and EVERYTHING. Saying something and then contradicting what she said and then confusing the commercials with the game. Wow. Worse than word-salad. It's like a high wind tossing loose pages full of nonsense ideas around...she makes no sense at all!
SiL said she will get Nannie up and dressed in the AM and will take her over, and then pick her up from, the Senior Center. I hope she doesn't bring her home too early, though!
Did more laundry and dishes and took out more trash. w00t!
Going to try my best to tune out Nannie and just let her jabber without trying to explain anything to her. She REALLY doesn't like it, so I won't do it eeeeny moah!
Hello all!
Joe, did the rain hold off for your trip to the Arboretum?
Tweety, glad work was OK! I hope Waffles is good.
No Stars, good you will have a Nannie-free day tomorrow (fingers crossed)!
We just got back from band practice. We drove to the bassist's house, around 40 min away, to practice. We played or discussed song arrangements or just chatted, for 3 hr! It was a good practice, though -- I think we have a good set list with many varieties of songs and song speeds (some fast, some medium, some slow). AND we decided on three more practice dates, before our mid-August program. So THAT is a WIN!
And, I'm tired! I need to change sheets and towels (I removed them from the dryer), and then I will ignore any other chores and just relax. 🙂
Have a good evening!

Stars I hope the oncologist is able to provide some good treatment options for your brother
Tweety glad the shift went well
My day was fairly busy. Instead of bird watching went to the farmer's market to help the gay group with their donut fundraiser. Spend about 3 hours coating donuts in cinnamon sugar, also helped bag some donuts and helped with some of the cleanup afterwards. Weather was better than last year and thus the pace was quicker. Was surprised afterwards how tired I was from all of the walking and standing
Rest of the day was quieter. Stopped at the library, had lunch with dad, then ran an errand or two. Watched part of Svengoolie movie, was kind of of interesting watching Joan Crawford with her big eyebrows and overacting
Today will be somewhat busy too. Have church, then will come home and do cooking. Then will drive to the Arboretum to meet my friend N. Hopefully the rain will hold off, we might get some this afternoon
Will get up to about 80 I think
