Stars I can see why he's frustrated but you're  right about the rules on refills

Ado glad the appointment went well, odd that he was defensive

Did bird watching in the morning, then the vet appointment.  Went out to lunch with dad and then went for a bike ride an watched Svengoolie

Today will be at church early to help usher.  Will cook once I get home.  Have also begun doing research on gay bars near me, though it seems they're all in the city some distance away

Will be considerably cooler today, in the 60s with rain, which we could really use

Yo!

It is 85 degrees and partly cloudy; it might rain/thunder, but who knows!

I have to go get Nannie up, now that I've had my morning coffee and prayers. The game starts at 1:35 PM, so at least there won't be an opportunity for Nannie to stay up late. She may be sleepy, but will stay up as long as we are sitting in the den with the TV on. Grrrr.

Another 'Grrrr': I may  have to run to a pharmacy because hubby says he is out of test strips, "Half of the strips in the bottle you got for me before were no good, and I don't know why." I suspect his fingers fumbled while taking a test strips out or when using it on the machine; he is quite clumsy when he has been drinking, which is frequently.

Okie-dokie, better get to it. Later, guys!

Yep, had to do a pharmacy run. Also got more yogurts for Nannie, and a gallon of milk. Hubby has started eating a bowl of cheerios, maybe for breakfast or lunch, which require milk. And I drink a large glass of milk at bedtime, with a banana and/or something salty.

As we watch the baseball game, Nannie is sleeping in her recliner! OH WELL!

I fed the last of the deer-corn and bird-seeds I had. Will have to get more tomorrow.

Hello all!

Joe, did you ever find your lapel pin?  I have dropped things in the car, and searched and searched for them, and then another time when I got into the car, saw the item that I had searched for so diligently, just sitting there!!  Hope you can locate a bar you like that's close by.

Ado, at least the eye news was good!

No Stars, it's always something needed at either the grocery store or the pharmacy, innit???  Hope gypsies behave themselves.

Tweety, are you working this weekend?  If so, hope things go smoothly and you don't punch out an hour or more late...

We drove to Lone Pine yesterday, camped at an RV resort at the edge of town.  There was a whopper of a rainstorm during the night, with LOTS of thunder-boomers!  Power even went out for an hour!  Morning was mixed clouds and sunshine, and moderate temperatures.  Lots of snow still on the mountains to the west (Mt. Whitney and all).  Just beautiful scenery!

We drove up to Coleville (about 4 hr north), stopping at Schat's Bakery in Bishop.  Dh loves their bread pudding and cheese bread, and we got some marzipan, a couple donuts, some fresh-squeezed OJ, and split a sandwich for lunch.  When we left Bishop to head for Coleville (continuing up 395), we got hit with several rainstorms, and even some sleet at the higher elevations.  We are settled at Coleville, at a KOA campground with all the amenities, for now.  There is even a little "paw pen" at the back of the RV site, a nice place for the doggy to be when we are outside.  It was cloudy but not raining when we arrived, and we got all hooked up to water and power, and are now settled in, using the free wi-fi for this connection.  AND, it just started to rain heavily!  Glad we don't need to be outside!  The rain will continue, on and off, through tomorrow, when we drive to Grass Valley.  Then, no more rain for the festival, yay!

Have a nice evening!

Good evening. We attended a garden art festival about an hour south of our home. There were many of the same vendors we see at the big Flower and Garden Show, but also some smaller artisans and some plant growers. I got a birthday gift for sis, and a couple of succulents. Dh got a little metal sculpture of a bat to hang somewhere. We saw lots of lovely blown glass, but we fear it would get stolen or broken, so we left it for others. We ducked into a little Vietnamese cafe for lunch. I tried a banh mi sandwich-delicious. Dh had teriyaki that he said was good.

Joe, you weather sounds much like ours. The clouds finally cleared late in the afternoon.

Annie, I've seen a retinal specialist a couple of times, and disliked it thoroughly. He misdiagnosed me (said that my left field vision loss was vitreous retraction instead of an ocular stroke). When I tried to bring it up at a subsequent visit, he was more concerned about my blepharitis. And the dilation meds are so strong that my eyes ache and throb for hours. Yuck.

Tomorrow dh wants me to stock up on meat. It's not a meal unless big chunks of meat are included. Frankly, I eat less and less meat all the time. I had a bowl of Cherrios for dinner tonight. One of my favorite meals is a baked potato with broccoli and cheese.

I'll drop off sis's gift and card tomorrow as well.
