Hi Tweety

Ado hope you sleep better tonight

Dianah here's hoping you don't have Covid too

Stars here's hoping your DH is in a better mood today

Pretty good day yesterday.  Went bird watching, was the only one on the trail.  Guess the cloudy weather scared people off

Ran some errands and had lunch with dad.  Tried a new quick bread recipe which did not work.  Think I'll just buy bread in the future.  Watched Svengoolie later, it was decent

Today have to be at church early for bell choir practice.  Probably the last time  I'm helping out bell choir, I  hope.  Church is an hour earlier now that they have 1 service for the Summer.    Meeting J for brunch after that

Think it will be in the lower 80s today, might rain a bit but I think the afternoon should be clear

Good morning!

Joe, hope you have a good day.

I got a really good loaf of sourdough bread that has some whole wheat flour and rye flour mixed in with regular flour.  It's not as soft as white flour bread but I want some whole grains.  Apparently it's a Ukrainian recipe.

Not much going on today.  Need to wash the sheets and head to the gym.  Hope to catch a sunset at the beach later.

Good morning. It’s raining, again. I’m going to try and get dh to go for a walk later at the bird sanctuary and maybe he can help me identify some birds. I heard a little woodpecker yesterday, but couldn’t spot him. We went to see the new Top Gun movie yesterday and enjoyed the flying scenes and the music. I wore a mask and didn’t eat or drink  in the theatre. I’m going to put off eating out for a few more days. My rapid COVID test is still mildly positive.
Dianah, I’m so sorry your dh has it now, I hope you can avoid it.
I avoid most bread now, but I used to make some yummy loaves. I can’t hardly smell much, which takes away a lot of enjoyment.
Stars, it’s too bad your dh isn’t going to meetings so he can vent there instead of on you. I hear ya about people grumbling about the news. I get frustrated by listening to others but being cut off when trying to discuss. I’m glad to have this forum to blow off to.

Welp, Hubby said he slept really well last night, and he seems in a better mood. Of course, he is sitting outside...either on the front porch or in "his office (the Ford). The car allows him to sit in the AC on hot days, so it's easier on his breathing; plus he avoids Nannie that way.

Uh-oh--he just came in to watch the game. I wonder ....nope, don't have to wonder; it's only the bottom of the first inning, and the score is tied at 3-3. Hubby has started squawking about the Braves pitcher already! Last night the Braves won in the 11th inning, so I am glad I (we) didn't stay up. Nannie would have seen through the whole game if I didn't say I was going to bed. Too bad we were out of her Trazadone; that's why she wasn't as sleepy as she usually gets.

I hopped out to the pharmacy to get her Trazadone and my Paxil. Started the laundry (2 more loads). Drinking some coffee. Keeping my end of the sofa warm. I wish we had a cat or two, I'd like some purring fur sitting next to, or on me!

The weather is absolutely LOVELY! Low 80's and NO humidity!

I still have sorting/tossing to do in my room, and some more dusting. But I tell myself I am not really ignoring it, because as I watch this game I am also doing the laundry...multi-tasking!

I used to make quick-bread and it was pretty good, I also had a recipe for lemon pound cake which was out-of-this-world-GOOD. The recipe is still  'lost' somewhere in the old shed.

I really, REALLY, REALLY wish we could get another shed so we could at least START on clearing stuff out. Some of it will still be stored, but if we can move most of it, hubby will be able to use the old shed as a workshop, which is what it used to be! Then he could busy himself like he used to when we lived up in orificeville. (tsk-tsk, shame on me. But it has really changed up there, and not for the better!) However, during the Summer months he should really have a little AC unit in the shed, otherwise he won't enjoy being out there.

Oh goody, Braves got a 3-run homer so we are now ahead 6-3!

That's about it, except I'd like to gripe a little bit because Nannie is 1.) quite confused: "I don't understand how they can tell who is supposed to be doing what, because there are so many people on the field", and 2.) very repetitive telling me the score and mis-reading the bottom of the screen where they show you who has which score, what inning it is, all the strikes and walks, how many are on (or not on) base, and the batter's count, plus a running crawl about other teams baseball games' scores. and 3.) About the guy who is Australian,  who is announcing along with 2 other guys, "I can't understand what he is saying!" I keep telling her that if she doesn't understand him, DON'T try to figure it out, just let it slide. GADS!

Hubby went to get KFC for an early supper. One load of laundry is on it's final spin, so it's headed for the dryer, and I'll have to fold what's finishing up in the dryer. Don't I just love being a house-wife?! It was never in my plans for my future, but here I am! However, I am aware of how lucky we are to have a place to live (that is paid for!) and all our other blessings.

Later!
