Tweety I'm surprised when I hear people buying vinyl, I though music today was all digital and sharing apps

NJ22 hope getting the Apple watch fixed proves easy

Dianah glad the performance went well, hope today's goes well too

Stars glad it was a quiet day

Ado that's a nice looking tree

Did not go out bird watching yesterday, instead stayed in an made gingerbread.  Which didn't work out.  Was too crumbly...probably because I used applesauce in place of eggs...but also had little flavor, despite having increased all of the spices

Had lunch with dad as usual, exercised, did some more gift wrapping, stopped at the pet store, and worked on the shopping list for next week

Today will go to church, and will do the cooking for the week before church.  Although since it's just a tuna salad it's not really cooking.  Will do some more wrapping and exercise tonight

Will be very cold again, currently 0, will get up to 11.  Time to pull out all the warm clothes. Though will be in the 20s by tomorrow

This week we will be having yo-yo weather.....from 13 degrees on a few AM's, to 58- 67 later in the afternoons at the end of the week. Good grief. I guess it's a good thing I have not put any Summer OR Winter clothes away. (Like I have an extensive wardrobe. HAH!)

I think I rubbed my eye during my sleep, even though I had the guard taped on......I must have sneaked a finger under the guard. I feel like I have something in the inner corner of my eye. I have just finished putting in the first set of eye drops, and knock on wood, it feels slightly better after the Prednisone drops. But if this continues I will have to call the eye docs office on Monday AM.  I hope it resolves with the continuance of the drops QID today. (I also think I may have missed one of the four times I was supposed to put the drops in, yesterday). Such a problem child.

I have nothing scintillating or aggravating to say. Hoping to have another quiet day (fingers crossed!) When I went to bed last night I thought that today would be Monday, but guess what? It isn't! So I will have to get dressed, and, joy-of-all-joys, go do the Nannie-routine. *sigh*

G'day.

Stars, I'm sorry that you're not getting the support you should get but know you won't jeopardize your own health either.

Nice tree Ado!

Dianah, glad the gig went well and your friend had the equipment you wanted.

There's a whole cult of vinyl collectors out there and a smattering of record stores.  Vinyl sales are low but steady and actually a few years ago vinyl overtook CD's in sales.  My main issue is inflation has outprice vinyl for me for the most part.  I want Florence and the Machine for example and it's going for $39.  Olivia Dean's new album is going for $47.  That's insane to me.  When I buy a vinyl it's usually quite low.  But yes music revenue is over 80% from streaming and I stream a lot as well.

I got up in time to make it to a 9:00AM yoga class and have some laundry going.

Best friend is coming over and we're going to stream a movie and should have a quiet afternoon.  Not sure what to make for dinner.

I got a poinsettia as my only Christmas decoration this year.    They had a very nice big one for $29.99 but this was on sale for $9.99

That plant's not bad for $9.99!  I never buy poinsettias anyway 1.) Because someone [diff person each time] every year feels the need to give me one, and 2.) because they die and I end up tossing them out. Kind of hum-bug of me, but there ya go!

I put a different sweater on Nannie that turns out to be another button-less one and she keeps showing  me the sleeves and the way the two front hems meet if she arranges them 'just right'. I try not to look over there so I hope NOT to see the endless fidgeting.

I once had a different, easier-to-take patient who was quite perseverative but wasn't irritating about it........she was once a CPA or something and spent her whole day tracing down long lists of numbers on papers that weren't there in front of her! I gave her a blank piece of paper and a pencil and she checked off numbers that weren't there It was amazing how 'careful' and consistent she was in her task. Another patient in the same facility was being constantly given the same face-clothes to fold; we'd take the folded ones, thank her, turn around and jumble the same face-clothes up and give them to her like she was getting a new batch. Then at the end of the day we would put the ones she had repeatedly folded into the wash because she had handled them so much, and who knows where her hands had been?!

Nannie is staring at her shoes, which is either a precursor to her talking about them, or of her closing her eyes and dozing off. Hoping for the latter!

No sleeping for Nannie, I guess. She has been fidgeting with that poor old sweater ALLLLLLL afternoon. She got disgusted with herself for not being able to do with the sweater hem and her pant-legs what she was trying to do, by pleating them together, but really, there is no telling what it was she was trying to do! I told her that as many times as she's tried to rearrange the front of the cardigan, and NOT being able to get it the way she wants to, she is wearing herself out. It won't  EVER 'stay perfect' even if she gets it the way she wants it. I had her put her hands in her pockets and leave them there, which she actually did!

Her words are more garbled than ever......She can't think of the first letter of any word she wants to say, and she tries it and tries it and it still makes no sense. Currently, her speech is kind of PUREED words, that are not actually any kind of words.... in the English language at least!  I know she can't help it, but she is driving me NUTZ! Shortly the news will be on, and I can only imagine the 'fun' that will give me when she doesn't understand that the news and the commercials are NOT related, subject-wise, and they are not addressing her personally, and 'they' don't need her to 'go help them'. If I ever get like her, just 'chute' me!  (ka-POW!)

Like Alice Cooper, in The Ballad of Dwight Frye......"I GOTTA GET> OUT> OF> HERE!" Fat chance of that happening though. UGH, ugh, ugh! Four, or 4 + 1/2 hours, until her bedtime.

I took Tinker out for her last walk before dark and it is FRIGID out there! I didn't put her parka on, but I should have. I cut the walk short by only walking the periphery of the back yard and then heading right for the back door. The front yard will have to get over it, because the electric fireplace is calling my name.

After I came in and sat down on the sofa, Nannie noticed my reflection in the glass door and is now talking about "that girl out there," so I have to shut the drapes. 🙄

I will shut the laptop down, too, so I don't post 20 more entries of play-by-plays of the stupid evening to come. Good night!

Hi. It is windy and sprinkling. We are supposed to get more hard rain and possible flooding tomorrow and Tuesday. Eldest ds came over to pickup the pressure washer to help friends clean out mud. They have been hauling ruined sheetrock and carpet to the dumpsite.

I am in the doghouse because I left the door open to dh's "office" and the dogs got in and dug into the bags with Christmas stuff. Each year, dh fills bags with little gift items for each of our kids, the grandkids and his brothers and sisters. And he will include candy, and dog treats. And our dogs got into a bag and chewed up a dog treat. dh is making cookies, and I am trying to stay out of the kitchen. We have different views on cooking, so I stay out of the way and keep my mouth shut. I will need to go to the store to get something for dinner.

I need to wrap a few things. And thanks for the reminder, I need to water the poinsettia.

Nice tree Annie!

I admit, I'm not a fan of gingerbread. It usually gives me heartburn.

In Boston there was (and maybe still is?) a restaurant named LEGAL SEAFOOD. They HEAPED the fried seafood plate in a five or six-inch tall pile of the delicious mix, and you could barely get close to finishing it. But the dessert that came with that huge amount of seafood was a good size piece of freshly made gingerbread with real whipped cream on top. You'd think you couldn't fit another bite of food after the seafood meal, but miraculously the gingerbread absorbed so much of the fried grease that it soothed one's stomach and took away that toooooo full feeling. Amazingly, It really did work well!

It is close to 1 PM. Nannie was taken to daycare by SiL who I didn't hear come in this AM. It will be my joy and "plezhure" to go pick her up at 4:45 PM.

I wish the COLD weather would go away; it has been giving my knees fits for the last two days.
