Cold and overcast; no rain or snow. tomorrow there is supposed to be rain. SiL will pick me up and take me to the eye doc at 6:15 AM. I was going to get up at nine am today to do some chores and get them out of the way: finish the laundry, do some more dishes, and then empty all the trash cans and wastebaskets. I also want to go out to the store for a few things, but I dunno, because I don't really want to take Nannie out in the car to sit in the car while I run in to grab some necessities. Oh me, oh my, I don't know how many times I hit the snooze button, and once when the phone rang, I reached up and turned the alarm off on the clock. How very good of me.... hah! Now I have to do it all this afternoon.
I put Nannie's (hateful) old sweater on her....one of the ones she fiddles with all day long. It'll give her something to do and keep her 'busy'.
I guess I ought to get up from here and DO SOMETHING! Blah, and PHOOEY!
I dressed the dogs in their parkas, because they are somewhat water repellent, and took them for a walk. Good thing I did, because it started raining about a half mile from home. We all 3 got pretty wet. They are snuggling with dh as he dozes in front of the Seahawks game. The Christmas tree is up, so hanging up ornaments will soon commence. We had chuck roast for dinner, so I will use the leftovers to make beef stew.
I have laundry to fold and a small rip in the duvet cover to mend. I don't know how that happened. dh blames the dogs, but I'm not sure.
So, in the past 2 hours I put my head down and went at it! I washed all the dishes. Nannie has brand new sheets on her bed, I have clean sheets on my bed. All but one of the trash bags has been put out in the barrel. The last load of laundry is in the washer , and one load is in the dryer. Then I get to fix something (EASY) for Nannie's supper, maybe PB and banana sandwich, potato chips, chocolate pudding and a Little Debbie's (bleh!) chocolate cake, and her usual cran-apple drink.
I have 'instilled' my right eye with the eye drops twice today, then at 8 PM and 12 mid I will do the next drops. And I do one more before I go to the eye doc's in the AM, and bring them with me .... the drops, not my eyes. Well, yeh, I will be bringing my eyes over there too, naturally!
It is quarter after four, and I doubt I will get to go out the the grocery store. I am NOT toting Nannie out , I am too tired to deal with her. I probably have enough of whatever, and if SiL wants to give Nannie some Ex Str Tylenol tablets to make Nannie tired enough to sleep, she can go get 'em herself, or she can drop in at the grocery store (if they are even open when I am through with my surgery.) when she brings me home. BiL will be holding down the fort here while SiL drives me. I doubt Nannie will get up while he is here, and if she does he can tell her to go back to bed. When we get back, SiL will get her ready and take her to daycare. But *I* won't be picking her up Monday afternoon. (YAY!).
Guess I ought to take Tinker out again.
Good evening.
Joe, hope you were able to get to lunch with your friend.
Stars, good luck with everything.
Waffles remains in her cone and hates it.
I've had worst days at work. Sometimes I feel like a mother that has heard "mom!" one too many times.
Off for the next three days. Best friend took eye drop duty for Waffles today.
Hope everyone has a good rest of the evening and good start to the week tomorrow.

NJ22 thanks for sharing the photos
Stars that's a good idea, let them worry about how to manage her while you're recovering
Yesterday was fairly busy. Went out bird watching in the morning, finally saw a pileated woodpecker, for the first time this year. Started on my Christmas cards and went and bought some gift wrapping supplies and stopped at the grocery store. Took dad out to lunch for his birthday, went to a more upscale place for a change.
Today it is snowing again, thankfully the snow should stop pretty soon. Will try and do the cooking for the week before church. Will be both assisting minister and reader today. Later my friend N and I will meet for lunch, hopefully the snow won't force us to delay it yet again. Rest of the day should be quiet
Will be similar to yesterday, in the low 30s. Few inches of snow expected by the time it's done
