Sumner College February 2021 cohort

Specializes in Urgent Care.

Is anyone else on here applying to the next cohort at Sumner in Portland, Oregon? It would be nice to connect and see where each of us is at in the application process, and ultimately support each other in the program should we gain admission. Nursing is a wonderful profession and I wish you all the best. I have my interview next week. Has anyone completed theirs already and have any advice?

Hi! I would love to connect with you. I just took my TEAS exam and I am getting ready to send in my application once I compile everything. I am wanting to start July 2021 ADN. I would love to hear your experience with the interview and how it went.

Please email me at [email protected] or comment back :)

I just completed my interview and honestly, I think it went just okay. There were a few questions I found somewhat difficult and maybe didn’t answer as clearly as I could have. This was all over zoom of course, and one out of the three panelists didn’t seem engaged at all. She kept fidgeting, moving around in her chair, rubbing her eyes, looked like she was checking her email at one point too. Kind of distracting. I think it could go either way at this point.

I would love to touch base with you in regards to what questions you were asked. Would you mind listing them out here or emailing me at [email protected]?

I felt the exact same way to be honest. I thought that I answered one of the questions properly. But then one of the panelists asked me again in a harsher manner so I’m assuming maybe I didn’t say what they were hoping to get from that question and now I’m scared I won’t get accepted.
I felt very prepared going in, but then my nerves took over on the curve ball question and they could definitely tell :(

Hello, what is the cost of LPN-RN program and anyone know what the schedule is like?  Thank you

Sumner does not currently have a LPN to RN program. You can find out more about the RN program on their website

I am waiting for an interview for the May 2022 start. Have been in review since the beginning of February and have not heard back since. Every time I call or email, they keep saying “you’ll hear from me in a few weeks”. Has anyone interviewed for this start date yet? Should I reach out to them again?
