Last summer, I signed up for a 4 week A&P 2 class and ended up dropping it after the first week. It felt VERY rushed (the goal was to cover a chapter a day) and since that class is very important, I felt like I wasn't going to be able to get the grade that I wanted. (tests every week that covered 5 chapters at a time, plus lab and lab exams)I would suggest taking it in the fall if you cant find an 8 week class.
Wow, 4 weeks? That doesn't seem reasonable. I took Micro in 6 weeks over the summer, and that was rushed. I was dreaming about microscopes and streaking plates every night, and there was an exam nearly every week as it was. I suppose 4 weeks can be done, but I can't imagine it being ideal.
Hello to everyone that reads this comment!!! This is an update just to let everybody know that the summer semesters for SAC are 5 weeks in lengths M-R, and I did sign up for Summer 1 5week A&P 2 course and Summer 2 5week Microbiology course for this summer 2014. Just to let everyone know I finished A&P 2 with an A, and I have finished 3weeks of micro and have 2weeks of Micro left for now I have an A, and most likely I know I will end up with an A.... For some extra info for those that are wondering about the micro class I'm taking it consists of 4 lecture exams, 2 lab exams, 2 pop quizzes a week, an unknowns project with report, and of course the FINAL.

OMG! I'm seriously freaking out right now the plan I had for this Summer is partially ruined, I already had planned to take the MICRO class in the summer time for an 8 week course and I already had the CRN # ready and everything BUT come to find out that I just barely noticed right now that ALL the courses for MICRO & A&P2 in the summer time are all 4 week courses. Now I don't even know if I should take any of them because I really need that A for those classes. Please any advise or if anyone can share their 4 week experiences with any of these 2 classes let me know, thanks!
