Summer semester courses

Published

Would it be wise to take A&P 2 and an elective over the summer? My elective will be either humanities or developmental psychology. The semester is only 10 weeks long. I have to take a minimum of 6 credits to get my stipend, so taking just A&P 2 is not an option.

I took dev. psych. over a shorter summer (online) semester and got an easy A. I'd say if you liked/ did well in pysch. 101 and/or sociology, you'll do fine. However, A & P II is going to take some effort. I found it much easier than A & P I, which had all the memorization of bones, muscles, nerves, etc. But, I love physiology and had a much easier time grasping the concepts and so did really well in A&P II. But I took this class in a normal 15 wk semester.

SO, if you are solid in AP I AND can be very dedicated and organized, you'll probably be okay IMO. Of course you probably will have some papers to write in dev. psych., so those will take up some of your time. But, the content part of both classes --for me at least-- was very straightforward and interesting enough to keep me engaged.

Good luck!

I have a high B in A&P 1 now but I am definitely putting in the work for it.
