summer intern/externships... please HELP

Hi,

I'm REALLY interested in working as a student nurse this summer. I just don't know how to go about it. Come summer time i will just have completed my first year as an ADN student...how do i inquire?::idea:

I live in the boston area.

Any help would be greatful!

Start by calling local hospitals in your area. I live in NJ and the application process has started, so call right away.

Most hospitals have an extern program for 8-10 wks in the summer, the majority of hospitals around here have them, some are only open to BSN students but for the most part they are all open to ADN students between their 1st and 2nd yrs. I am probably doing one at the hospital I work at and I can't wait!
