So, I've been applying to positions as a PCT in local hospitals, and I haven't had any luck. I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions for what to include on my cover letter, or put in my resume. I can't get an appointment at my university's career center for another week or so, or I'd be asking them. Any help would be appreciated at this point.

There are some really great resume templates online you can find. You just download them (there are a TON of free ones) and change the information on the template.
I've done this and it works wonders.

Take the time to make it personal. There are so many applications to go through and you want yours to be unique. My best advice would be to research the organization you are applying for. Look at their mission statement, vision statement and their goals. Find key words like patient-centered care or if they have accreditations that are valuable to you. Have they done anything for the community? I always try to tie in the similarities of the job with my personal and professional goals. Good luck!

I've had many commend me for my resume at various places where i've interviewed. Key is to use action words, descriptive words, something that will make it stand out from the other mundane resumes they'll go through. Good prior experience is also very key in landing a PCT
