Hello all:) I am currently an ICU RN. I am thinking about switching to inpatient psych. I would like to read up on psych nursing more though before I make the change. I have found various links in the forum about online articles, but I am not a huge fan of reading long articles online. Does anyone have any suggested Psych Nursing reading text books, books, etc? Thanks in advanced!

If there's a nearby nursing school, you could ask what text they use.
Good suggestion:) There are a few nearby nursing schools actually.

One that I am reading now--and I am not new to psych --like to learn all I can though-- on Borderline Personality D/O is very easy to read as it is for patients, their families and for health care professionals too.....only 184 pages. Called
"I Hate You....Don't leave me" by Jerold J. Kreisman, MD. Good book and easier to read then a text book.
