You have great grades! Good luck with A&P 2 and the TEAS! I hope we both get in too. Fingers crossed.

May I ask why you’re applying to the LPN and not the associate program?!

I actually do plan on applying for both but I would be just as excited to be accepted into either program ?. I figured I would start a forum for the LPN program because I haven't come across many from prior years!

Just wondering if either of you were accepted and started the practical nursing program at SCCC?

Hello :) yes, I was and am currently in the first semester of the program.

Thanks for replying !

I am wondering how many people they accept ?

I know their ADN program Seems pretty competitive.

Also, what is your schedule like for this first semester? When are your classes?
I work 30 hours a week and am I’m hoping my job will adjust my work schedule around classes

Also do you remember what your TEAS score was when you got accepted?

The LPN program does accept more people than the ADN program. I believe including myself there are 62 people in my graduating class. A friend of mine recommended I do this program, she went through it and loved it. For the first semester (due to covid, otherwise the classes are normally on campus) we have two online classes one consists of pre-recorded lectures and the other one is realtime online (live lectures via blackboard) and that class meets once a week. I work similar hours as you (20-25 depending on the week) & so far I’m doing okay?? It’s a lot of work, but that’s like any program. I believe my overall TEAS score was a 69%. I hope this is helpful for you ?

Thank you so much for all the info.

My overall TEAS score is a 73.3

And I have taken A&P 1/2, Eng 101 and Psy 101 and got A's or B's so I am hoping I have enough points on the rubric to be accepted.

I have one more question for you... do you know what your schedule will be like next semester?  The first semester seems to be the lightest, with 5 credits. The next two have 11 credits each and I guess that is where clinical starts.
