Anyone apply at SCCC for the Fall 2016 nursing program?

What did you get on the TEAS and your prerequisites?

I applied for Ammerman day and my second choice was Ammerman evening. I'm anxiously awaiting my letter in March! I'm worried that my TEAS score will not be good enough to get me in :(

ENG 101 – A

PSY 101 – A

Hi everyone just wondering if someone could help me out-I'm working on completing the NurseLogic 2.0 tutorials for ATI but I have a question. Do we have to do all of those tests? It shows 4 modules and each one has a basic test and an advanced test. Do we have to do all of them? Does this count as part of our grade? Can we re-take them or something? I clicked one of the tests and the questions actually seemed pretty tricky so I am kind of concerned! lol

I didn't even know we needed to complete tutorials . Where did you find the nursing logic . I can't even find that!

Did you purchase the ATI books we needed to buy? It should show up online at the ATI website when you purchase them. From the home screen if you click the tab on top that says "My ATI" and then its under the "learn" tab. There are 4 modules and each one has tests.

I found it thank you. I'm assuming we can do beginners tests first ?

Yeah, thats what I'm doing. But even the beginners tests are kind of challenging. I don't know if I'm missing reading or something but it seems like stuff we need to be taught. The tutorial doesn't really explain a lot of the stuff that's in the questions...

I took the first test , you're right they are more medical than what's being taught in the lesson. Thank god I have a medical background. But can I ask who said we needed to take these tests? Was there an email or was this posted somewhere. There are a few of us that don't remember hearing about these tutorials .

Same but yeah it says on the packet we got at orientation with those slides to complete nurselogic 2.0. I'm assuming they want us to complete the tests but I posted on here because I wasn't sure if we need to do the tests or not since they seemed more difficult.

I didn't get up to the tests yet.... just the tutorials.... if someone finds out if we really need to take those tests can you please let the rest of us know, it would be appreciated.

Hey all,

First off, I'd like to say congrats to all who got in. So I ordered the ATI at the end of May and everything went fine until I didn't see nurse logic 2.0. So, I contact ATI and they tell me besides the product code to order the product, the school should have given me an additional code and get all products I need from Suffolk. Is this correct? And if so, why is it in none of my paperwork? I thought once I paid that was it. I have nothing under my tests and to learn is the ebooks of the originals they send you... any help appreciated thanks. Ammerman Day here BTW :)

AHHH I figured it out I had to hit add product and put original code. Thanks anyway everyone:)

Once you go on a view the tutorials is everyone taking all the tests ? Are we supposed to ? And are they graded ?

I have read some of the material from the ATI books and on one of the answers from the test, I am not sure why they would have answered the way they did. I don't remember the question, but the answer was apply a bandage to a red scapula to an immobile patient. Why wouldn't one turn and position before trying a bandage to prevent breakdown I was thinking also adding tape to skin that is already very sensitive, may in turn speed up the breakdown process. There is also something else I read in the fundamentals book from ATI that I questioned. Maybe my critical thinking skills need work after all. lol
