Suffolk Community College Fall 2018

Published

Hi,

anyone out there applying for the fall 2018 program at Suffolk?

Yeah that's who I spoke to, I called Ammerman campus admissions office around 930am, they transferred me to nursing admissions and the woman who answered said her name was Rita ... she told me late March early April. Someone else try calling early one morning and see if they get a better answer lol

Yes Rita is the same woman I was directed to speak with also. I'm going to go to another nursing seminar, the next one @ Ammerman is February 6th Tues @ 11am ( I have class Tues @ 12:30 so I'll be on campus either way) and see if I hear anything different or updated. Last year when I applied for the Fall 2017 program, I didnt get a letter until March 3rd. So we'll see if it follows the same time schedule.

I just called central admissions & they told me within 30 days or by the end of this month

Oh I hope that's true!! Thank you!

Thank god I hope they send it early! Good luck everyone!!

unfortunately I don't want to get anyone's hopes up because suffolk is known for giving out wrong information:unsure:

I keep trying to call admissions but no one is ever available:(

I went to the seminar yesterday and they said we should hear something by the beginning of March. So I imagine they will start mailing mid-late to late February and by the time all acceptances/denials go out and get delivered we'll be at the beginning of March. The wait is a killer.

Did they say anything regarding the applicant pool this year?

I don't understand why they give everyone a different answer. :( I just called and spoke to Rita and she said they are sending out acceptance letters end of march/beginning of April. That's weird because at the seminar they said they are trying to send them out earlier this semester and past semesters recieved their letters beginning of march?

Im sorry I arrived 10 minutes late to the seminar and didnt find out how many seats. I have an appointment tomorrow, so I'll def ask and let you know.

Sometimes I think they get overloaded with calls asking and they tell you later and later, in hopes of slowing the calls down. But once someone posts they got accepted, you can be pretty sure most/all letters have gone out. Honestly this forum is probably the best place to keep checking. Sign up for the USPS Informed Delivery, because as soon as we know they've been sent, you'll want to check your mailbox like crazy !
