Confused about this years new rubric system and wanted to check in and see how others out there are feeling.
Thought at first I would go for the LPN program and later do the LPN to RN
but now that the TEAS V is required for both I rolled the dice and took the TEAS with not many weeks to study since they made the announcement.
I didn't do well at all. 66%
With the rubric points all added up it looks like I fall into 70/100 points. I know the program is highly competitive so I am not sure how I am feeling now.
I applied to both the LPN and RN program but if I don't get into the RN program I am going to just keep taking the other courses I need. I have a bachelors already so I have taken a lot of the pre reqs but have yet to take Statistics, A+PI and A+PII and Micro.
Praying that by some miracle I get in but I will keep fighting the good fight if I don't.
How's everyone feeling?

Hey! There's already a thread for this year's incoming applicants so hop on over there. I'm sure someone there will ease your nerves. https://allnurses.com/general-nursing-student/suffolk-county-community-1076471.html

How do you have 70 points if you are missing those three? Lpn and Rn have different rubrics.
I don't have a 70 í ½í¸‚ Since meeting with the Director of Admissions I now understand the rubric. I explained the point system in the other thread linked above.

Hey everyone so I took the TEAS yesterday and did not do as well as I wanted. I received an overall grade of 63.3%. For reading I got a 63.8%, for science I got a 46.8% which really upset me but I mainly studied cells and reproduction and I still have to take A&PII, for English I got a 62.5% and for math I got a 84.4% which brought my total average to a 63.8%.
I already took the following classes:
A&P 1- B+
English 101- B+
English 102- A
Statistics- B
Psyc- C
His 101- A
I applied for both Grant and Ammerman ‘s evening nursing program and I was wondering if anyone thinks I may have a chance. I am very upset about my score on the TEAS & I only took it one time so I will get 2 additional points for that .
According to the rubric I only have 38 points since I scored proficient. Does anyone know if the Grant/Ammerman night program is easier to get into? Also should I apply to the LPN or would they then maybe give me less of a chance for the RN program. =[
