sudafe and 1st trimester

Published

Hello Everyone--

Quick question, I currently have a very severe cold and after three days I gave in and took a non-drowsy dose. After two hours nothing happened, so before bed I took the normal dosage (two tablets) of sudafed drowsy formula. It helped somewhat but only temporarily. I went to bed and then this morning I had a bad feeling even though my mind said that sudafed was okay to take during pregnancy, so I went and did some research. My research told me that yes it is okay to take sudafed but not recommended during the first trimester. I am seven weeks gestational and now am really scared. My total dosage taken was one tablet of non-drowsy and two tablets of drowsy some hours later. Should I be overly concerned and worried? Any help on this matter is appreciated.
