Hello! I just began my Mother baby rotation and just wondering if you all had any tips/advice for theory and clinical success. I did very well in fundamentals and am wondering how much more difficult Mother Baby is going to be. Any key focus points are much appreciated!

I loved my mother/baby rotation. Do the same as you do in previous classes, which is to keep up on the readings and study.

You will do fine.

We finished it up last semester, it was not a fun class for the majority of us (me especially, I was the only guy). There is a lot of information to absorb and it is one of those classes where you have to learn more than the facts. I and quite a few others struggled with just passing grades, though we all felt like we were learning what we needed to learn. Most of the questions were on the order of which answer is the "most right" or "least wrong", you get the jist. Even the ladies that had kids already didn't have any advantage, and may have had a disadvantage if they put their personal experience over the material that was taught. I was glad to have survived it, was fun working with the newborns, but MB is nowhere in my future.
